Within the course of this English class, I have acquired knowledge in various writing
strategies. For instance, the research proposal, the summary, the annotated bibliography, and the
strong response assignments were all great examples of these writing strategies. Many of these
will be applied to my future education and will help me progress.
These strategies helped me in the following ways: The research proposal assignment
assisted in the outline and planning of my topic. The summary assignment helped me have a
better understanding of the key points within my topic. The annotated bibliography assignment
taught me how to find accurate and reliable sources to further my argument on the topic. And
lastly, the strong response assignment informed me of how to formulate a persuasive argument
on my topic. With the above statements shown, these strategies will help me have a better
understanding of writing in my future courses and will assist in my progression as a student.
This course will assist in making me a deeper learner while having a better
understanding of future materials and concepts. I value my professors input and plan on
furthering my education with her in English 2010.
