ERROR DISPLAY CODES ‘At times during operation of the indicator, the display may indicate an error. These error display messages are defined below. Please note that ‘some of the information provided applies to indicators ordered with our optional keypad. FAILA: Indicates some type of circuit failure, replace load cell or repair indicator. FAlLb: Indicates that an illegal capacity (greater than 5000 graduations) has been selected via the setup switches, reset S2 switches. unlod: Indicates that an overload condition exists when powering up the indicator, remove weight from scale. lod: Indicates underload, readjust zero. OPERATION, Continued unStb: Indicates the scale platform was unstable when trying to perform one of the following operations: 1. Power-Up 2. Print 3. Enter a pushbutton tare 4, Zero/Reset +OL+: Indicates the scale platform is overloaded beyond capacity. Err: This error message appears for three seconds under the following conditions: 1. Attempting to print a negative gross weight. 2. Attempting to print a negative net weight. 3. Attempting to enter a pushbutton tare when the gross weight is less than or equal to zero. Attempting to show a tare weight which is more than 4 digits. Er2: This error message appears for three seconds under the following conditions: 1. Attempting to enter a tare which is out of range for the given scale capacity. 2. Attempting to Zero Reset when the gross weight is not within the +49% of capacity. 8. Attempting to enter a keyboard tare which is not consistent with the displayed scale division. 4 Attempting to change weight units when metric conversion has been disabled due to stored tare greater than the scale's capacity (See Tare Limits on page 8.) CALIBRATION This indicator has been calibrated at our factory. If calibration should become necessary, contact a qualified scale technician to follow the procedures outlined below. COARSE SPAN ADJUSTMENT A be certain scale level and power is removed. 1. Itis necessary to access the S1 switch and the span, potentiometer inside the indicator by removing the two screws securing the right end panel and lifting off the right end panel. 2 Carefully pull the display lens to the right, approximately 1/2 inch, just far enough to access the S1 switch. (Refer to CONFIGURATION section on page 4 for more information.) 3. The span potentiometer is located on the top right of the controller board and can be reached by removing the two screws securing the right end panel and lifting off the right end panel. Span Pot Zoro Span Side View Zero Pot 4, Using a small flatblade screwdriver, turn the span pot 15 turns to the center of its adjustment range (7 1/2 turns from either end) 5 Close S1 - #1, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8. Open St - #2, and 7. Close = ON (this sets the span to 16 and the display to internal counts) 6. With no weight on the scale deck, apply power. Then press ZEROIRESET keypad switch. 7. Using a small screwariver, adjust the zero pot until the display reads 2er0 + 3 divisions. 10 CALIBRATION, Continued If zero cannot be obtained by adjusting the zero potentiometer and the display reads above zero, a coarse zero adjustment is necessary. COARSE ZERO ADJUSTMENT Remove the two (2) screws securing the left end panel (refer to figure 3 on page 13). Remove the left end panel. Slide the display lens to the left approximately 2" a N N SERRE TREE A. Locate JP4, JP5, JP6, and JP7 on the lower right hand side of the printed circuit board. B.
