Before its too late
Earth have a lot of problem going on right now. One the major problem is deforestation,
which cause a global warming, a change in weather pattern and more importantly is pollution.
People tend to cut more tree than they can produce.
So, I saw this picture published by WWF (World Wildlife Fund) about deforestation.
Deforestation is an important topic in today society because tree is important to Earth. As we all
know scientist around world have been monitoring the temperature of the Earth at atmosphere
because of the global warming that had been going on for a long time due people been cutting
more and more tree each year. Tree is an important part of the Earth system because its absorb
all the bad air or carbon dioxide that release it in to the Earth atmosphere. Without tree, Earth
would have been polluted with a lot of bad air and pollution. Everyone would had been dead if
all the tree on Earth were to cut down. Forest is covering up 31% of land area on our planet.
Forest also helping by providing animal with home and oxygen for everyone in the planet Earth,
except thing have change. Currently every forest around the world is under a threat of
deforestation which is cause by people who in need of land or gold or oil being discover in it or
through illegal lodging. Per WWF illegal lodging cutting rate have been cut down except country

like Indonesia, Brazil, Russia far east and Congo, in each of this country have one of the world
most famous and valuables forest for example like Brazil who is known for it Amazon rain forest
home to a thousand of animal species that live-in earth or Congo who is known for it famous
forest the Congo Basin. Each of this forest is under threat everyday because illegal lodging or
people who need to cut it down to so they grow more farm and cattle. Another major cause on
forest is fire, people use fire to clear out the forest so people can build more houses and
community except people didnt know that can also cause harm again another thing that is
surrounded by it. Animal and some people around the area can be harm because of the fire that
spread out, every year million acres of forest are destroyed or degraded by fire.
By destroying forest or degraded forest, people have cause a lot of changes in the climate and
atmosphere on Earth. Some people might not notice the change in climate but if you take a deep
look in to it you will find out that by destroying forest or degrading forest hurt a lot of thing.
Forest is just like human lungs, it helped providing oxygen so people can breathe and continue to
live but if human cutting out their lung they are not going to be able to breathe anymore. Just like
human, forest is the lung of the Earth it absorbing all the carbon dioxide that is in the atmosphere
so people can have a clean air to breathe in. Without forest people, will not have clean air to
breathe in and a lot of thing including animal, water and especially climate will be greatly
affected by it. Also, per WWF tropical forest had been up at least 210 gigatons of carbon. So, if
you look at the number thats one big storage right there but what would happen if that storage
got destroyed how are you going to find a way to replace it. Because I am sure that there is no
way you can find a storage to stuff the 210 gigatons of carbon. Another fact per WWF is that
deforestation representing at least 15% of the green house emission on Earth. Green house
emission is a definition of cause in climate change, rising temperature, change the pattern of

water and frequency of extreme weather events. 15% of the cause is came from deforestation and
that is still bad if you look at the event that is been going on Earth. Water cycle got disturbed
when there is a deforestation or degrading on tree, it will change the way the river flow and it
precipitations. Another important thing that causes by deforestation and degrading is erosion.
Without tree holding down on to the fertile soil, erosion can have happened and swept land in to
the river. Because of this, its forces a lot of soil loss so people must clear out more tree to find
soil which became more soil loss. WWF which stand for World Wildlife Fund is world leading
conservation organization whose been working with over 100 countries around the globes also
have a total of over 5 million globally. WWF work is mainly focus on four things that is relate to
the forest: forest certification, tracking down illegal lodging, trade and protecting the forest area.
The image that show by WWF is that people kill forest then it will kill people because we got no
clean air to breathe in. WWF picture is also show that people should not do this to the forest
because it like cutting their own lung out. And lastly about the picture is that by deforestation
you will make animal and people losing their habitat and houses that surrounded the forest also
you are cutting the area oxygen out.
To me people need to slow down on cutting tree and forest down because you never know
what is going to happens. People need to stop and think for a moment about their wife and kid or
other people family. Because at the end of the day everyone of us is going to depend on all those
tree and forest to absorb all the bad air that we polluted in the air. Love, it or hate it WWF make
a good point about the forest and the tree.
