Motivation and Introduction:

1. Introduce the lesson for today.
So today we are writing out our goals for this week. As you can see
on the board this is how I would like it to be set out just the same as
the way Miss Tyrrell would get you to set it out.

Resources/References
Align these with the
segment where they will
be introduced.

2. Discuss previous goals

Did any body achieve their goal from last week?
12:10

How did you achieve your goal from last week?

Lesson Steps (Lesson content, structure, strategies & Key Questions):
1. So today with our goal setting we are going to relate it to your
advanced standing. I would like your goals to be written with your best
handwriting, as I know you all want to ear your 5 stamps from Miss
Tyrrell and myself.
2. So it is important that you work hard to produce the best possible
writing you can. If you finish please come and bring your work up to
get it checked.

Hand writing worksheets

3. Okay you may now go to your trays get out your writing books and
start writing your goals exactly how it is on the board. Early finishers
are to continue practicing their handwriting in their yellow books.
4. H and M are to come get their sheets and have it explained to them.
12:40

12:50

Lesson Closure:(Review lesson objectives with students)

1. Once the students have finished (15 minutes) get them all to sit on
the mat in a circle for a class discussion. Ask the students if they
would like to share their goal and if they dont then they are to say
pass.
_____ would you like to share your goal?
How will you achieve that goal?
Transition: (What needs to happen prior to the next lesson?)
Students will need to get ready for lunch and pack away their things
on their desk ready to move to room 11.
Assessment: (Were the lesson objectives met? How will these be judged?)
Student work will be marked and assessed during the discussion.
