Film analysis
Introduction
For many years celebrities have considered the film to be a milestone to put their dreams
on cements and walk of fame in Hollywood. The purpose of this was to leave a long lasting
imprint on the world for many years coming. It might be safe to say that the perfect imprint was
made on November 22nd in the year 1995 when the Film Toy story arrived on the scene. John
laseter has definitely left an outstanding mark on countless films a an animator, director, writer
and producer for well over 70 films. His greatest achievement, though, is the Toy Story, as stated
earlier, which tossed him up into animation success.
Uniting a great director with similarly great actors like Tom Hanks and Tim Allen already
prepared the film an even better success. Conferring with Sang-Chul & Myeong Hwan, In
approximating the star power at general level, both a super actor and director significantly
impact the hit of movies. Toy Story is epically the greatest ever because of the story and plot,
some of the thematic aesthetic choices, and the social impact it has had.
The film Toy Story narrates a great story about the influence and role a toy plays in a
child's life and vice-verse. In a world where toys make-believe to be unconscious in front of
human being, Woody, a pull string cowboy toy, is the frontrunner of a group of toys that are
possessed by a boy named Andy. Together with his family, they were moving away one week
before his birthday, Andy is given a week-early party to spend with his friends. Woody and the
rest of the toys stage a intelligence operation to find out what Andy's new presents would be.
Andy take delivery of a spaceman action figure named Buzz Lightyear which is so
amazing that Woody fears he will be replaced as Andy's much loved toy. Woody turn out to be
bitter, particularly when he notices that Buzz also gets consideration from the other toys. On the

other hand, Buzz considers himself to be a real space ranger on a task to return to his home
planet as Woody tries to persuade him that he is just a toy. As Andy gets ready for a family visit
at Pizza Planet, his mother permits him to carry only one toy along. Be afraid of Andy will pick
Buzz, Woody attempts to trap Buzz behind a desk, but the idea ends in letdown when Woody by
accident knocks Buzz out the window.
After discovering that, the other toys turn against Woody by condemning him of
eliminating Buzz out of jealousy. Now that Buzz is missing, Andy unwillingly takes Woody to
Pizza Planet. Buzz hitches a ride before Andy's mother pulls off, and gets into the car and
provokes Woody while Andy and his mom are inside a near store. As they round each other, they
fall out of the van, leaves them behind. While Buzz still have faith that he is a real space ranger,
Woody is gets frightened that he will not ever see Andy again. Woody spots a Pizza Planet
distribution truck and persuades Buzz that it can take him to a spaceport.
As Woody stares for Andy at Pizza Planet, Buzz sees a rocket-shaped skill game and gets
inside, misidentifying it for a real spaceship. Woody trails him in it, but Andy's toy-abusing
neighbor, Sid, arrives and operates the machine. Sid changes the claw to snag Buzz and Woody
who are taken to his house. At Sid's house, Woody and Buzz try to run away before Andy's
moving day, meeting Sid's abused toy creations and his savage dog, Scud. During an escape
attempt, Buzz sees a commercial for Buzz Lightyear action figures and recognizes that he is
actually a toy himself. Disbelieving, he attempts to evidence that he could fly, but falls and
crashes down the stairs, flouting his arm off and becomes depressed. Woody sees Andy's other
toys from a distant window, but the toys refuse to help when Andy cannot prove that Buzz is
alive. Sid's toys fix Buzz's arm right before Sid reaches with a firework rocket. He decides that
he has always wanted to blow up a space ranger with a rocket, but has to postpone his plans due

to bad weather. Woody finally persuades Buzz that he doesn't need to be an real space ranger. He
clarifies to Buzz that every toy is vital because they bring so much joy to lives of children
everywhere. The next day, Woody and Sid's toys rescue Buzz and scare Sid into, no longer
abusing toys by coming to life in front of him. Woody and Buzz then leave Sid's house just as
Andy's mother drives away toward their new house. They are able to to climb onto the moving
truck, but Scud pursuits after them and tries to pull Woody off the truck.
Woody tries to rescue Buzz with Andy's remote control car, RC. The other toys, still
trusting that Woody is a toy eliminator, attack him and toss him off the truck. Having eluded
Scud, Buzz and RC pick up Woody and carry on after the moving truck. On seeing Woody and
Buzz together , the other toys recognize their mistake and try to help them get back in the truck.
Then RC's batteries suddenly dies, and the toys are left high and dry in the middle of the road.
Woody flares up the rocket on Buzz's back and manages to throw RC into the truck before they
soar into the air. Buzz opens his wings to free himself from the rocket before it explodes. They
both glide smoothly to Andy's box beside him in the van.
Film elements which have contributed to the theme
Every single film is as good as its artistic choices, and Toy Story is no diverse to other
films. Animation has continuously been occupied by a special space in the hearts and minds of
those that have consumed the media. This is done so because it makes it possible to bring to life
what would be impossible. Toy Story Film brings out various elements of a couple of kid's
bedrooms, a gas station, and a highway. Other elements such as Its heroes are toys, its
engagements a nd fights is a cowboy that believes a space ranger will substitute him as a favorite
toy.
All of elements come together to make an imaginary enjoyment for all listeners. For the

kids who watch movies similar to this will work for the reason that it tells a fun story. The film
also contains a lot of humor, and is very exciting to watch. The fact that this film was the first
feature made entirely by computer, it achieved a dream of a three-dimensional reality and
freedom of movement that was liberating. Computer animation nowadays have been used to
passing messages of various themes and many of these animation have guided the audiences as
well as entertaining them.
According to Tarvainen and Oittinen, Through an appealing story, compassionate
characters, and the performance of a cinematic world by audiovisual means, films seek to elicit
emotional elements to the viewers. Lasseter's days as an animator basically provoked his
directing style. This is because; creating characters of full film is sculpted around the image that
can be created using modern digital technologies. Lasseter used computer-based key framing..
There are many elements that need to be reasoned when analyzing the film. The
Movement was well connected to a thought process as well. Lasseter led the characters with their
eyes then the head followed. For example a scene where Buzz Lightyear jumps off a bed, spring
back off a ball, inclines off of the ceiling, swirls around on a hanging toy helicopter is one
amazing scene. Lasseter's style of character directs the message to the audience on the moments
of story. For most of us, movies defined our childhoods. Toy Story is hands down and is one of
the best films. And while Toy Story may not have saved lives, it certainly changed a few and
most definitely impacted many.
In conclusion, Toy Story was an enormous runaway success hit on launching the
animation genrewhile at the same time passing a message to the viewers. Toy Story is great
because of the story and plot, elements the aesthetic choices, and the social impact it has had on
the world.
