pellet boiler system. It has been described

pellet boilers in a Danish accredited Institute,
where it is approved according to EN 303-5
Class 3 (Ekoheat 4000 EN 303-5 Class 5).
This boiler is not only ideal as an alternative to
an oil boiler, it also competes with other heating
systems such as gas, geothermal, heat pumps,
solid fuel, etc. It is especially applicable when
taking environmental and energy consumption
into account.
Heating with sustainable wood pellets is CO2
neutral, heating with gas and oil is not. So in
addition to the environmentally friendly heating,
there is also a considerable advantage when
you calculate the payback on the acquisition of
an Ekoheat pellet boiler system.

Future proofed with Ekoheat

Ekoheat is also one of the most future-proof pellet
boiler systems, which is demonstrated with the Danishproduced TOUCH SCREEN control panel, and can
easily be updated via USB connection. Additionally,
the installation is manufactured to be compatible with
upgrades such as Ekosupply; an automatically wood
pellet conveying system which converts wood pellets by
vacuum. This simply requires an additional top plate for
the hopper.

Ekocompress; an ashtray that automatically

compresses the ashes, which means it is only
needed to be emptied a few times per year.
Control for this accessory is pre-installed in the
boilers touch screen control panel.
Development is on-going with the Ekoheat system
and we will also soon be offering accessories such
as oxygen control and PC interface.

Ekoheat Wood Pellet Boiler

This unique facility is available in four sizes: Ekoheat
900 (9 kW), Ekoheat 1500 (15 kW), Ekoheat 2500
(25 kW) and Ekoheat 4000 (42 kW). Ekoheat pellet
boilers are very compact and usually no bigger than an
oil or gas system. The boiler, pellet burner and supply
auger are always supplied as a kit, which optionally
can be mounted on the right or left side. The flue outlet
can be mounted optionally on the top or the back of the
boiler. The hopper for wood pellets can be placed either
side of the boiler and is available in two sizes; 160

litres and 350 litres. Ekoheat 900 & 1500 are approved
accordingly to EN 303-5 by the DTI (Danish Technology
Institute) and has achieved the AA in environment and
energy. Additionally, the Ekoheat is one of the few
systems meeting such high results necessary for the
strict Austrian market, which has extra tough demands
on the emission of pollutants,
as measured in
NOx values.
(NOx = Nitrogen oxides).

Self-cleaning

Control with Touch Screen Display

Ekoheat is a self-cleaning system that

requires only minimum maintenance
and attention. The ashes will
automatically be pushed into the ash
tray so you do not have to remove
pellet burner every week for cleaning.
Additionally, the boiler has automatic
cleaning of the flue channels that
provide an optimal efficiency and
environmentally conscious heating, as
these channels are kept free of soot.
So you do not only avoid the dirty
work, you also save money.

The controller on the boiler is a compact

computer with functions that provide
incredible operating opportunities. There
are a whole series of programs installed
that you only activate as you need these
features. It may for example be domestic
hot water priority, flue temperature, etc. but
also programs for extra accessories like the
Ekocompress ashtray are installed in the
controller and are simply activated if you buy
this product. The controller is also divided
into End-User and Installer settings, making it

all very easy to manage. Everything is easily

updated via a USB port which follows the
controller serial number, so you always get
the correct and latest program version. The
touch screen display controller is a unique
feature and when not in use, automatically
goes into
screensaver
mode, which
digitally displays
the time.

Simple and Easy Installation

The Ekoheat boilers layout and dimensions
make it one of the markets easiest pellet
boilers to install. Since Ekoheat is provided
only as a kit and is not very large, there is
no difficulty with extra-long supply augers
and adjustment as a result. Additionally,
both the boiler and the hopper are ready
for installation with the hopper on either the
right and the left side, so you cannot get it
delivered incorrectly. The Ekoheat is provided
with flue fans with very low noise levels and
have been approved for pressure

expansion, just as in oil-/gas boilers,

which helps to simplify the installation. The
Ekoheat is
delivered
on a single
pallet with
protective
packaging.

Maintenance
There is minimal maintenance required for this selfcleaning burner system. The burner enclosure opens
easily, as the faceplate is simply lifted off the front
of the boiler, then the burner can be taken out easily

via handles on both sides. If you want access to the

flue channels the top plate can be removed easily by
loosening a few bolts. The ash tray can also easily be
lifted out.

The Ekosupply is a fully automatic

system, which by using a spinning
wheel and vacuum, can retrieve
the pellets directly from a big
pack and on to the hopper.
Ekoheats S - Hopper is designed
for this system, which means
that you can simply change the
hoppers top plate and its ready.
Ekosupplys safety relay also
makes the system switch off if
anything goes wrong or it runs out

of pellets. If there is no space in

the boiler room or it is difficult to
get the pellets in, you just put the
wheel outside and lead the pipe
through the wall.

No messing with Ashes

Most people do not enjoy empting
the ashes out, and especially not
the fine ash, which is a lot like
soot. This is completely avoided
with an Ekocompress ashtray, as
this system simply compresses
the ashes in a closed box when
it automatically comes out of
the pellet burner in the boiler.
In addition, this closed box only
needs to be emptied a few times

per year. Ekoheat is designed for

this accessory and you only have
to swap it for the ash tray and plug
it in.
No
installation
is required.
