Discussion 4: What did we learn from Alcohol Prohibition?

What I learned about Alcohol Prohibition, is that in the late 1800s, when alcohol
was brought in, they said it was more dangerous than a sword would bring. In saloons, they
would welcome children to the drunkenness but soon, women seem to see that alcohol was
a huge problem towards them. They see that the alcohol would control men and would
come home and abuse them and their children. It would lead them to sleep with prostitutes.
After a while when cars were invented, drunk driving was being seen as a big
problem because of all the accidents it causes. Then after that and along with other
problems, it became prohibited (Illegal) to drink, own, or sell alcohol.
After Al Capone showed up with the Mafia behind his back, they turned the tables
and brought back alcohol because of all the money they been making off of it. So then,
alcohol became legal and anyone can drink but they have to be 21 years and older and are
not to be driving under influence.
