All staff members are expected to attend professional development sessions as well as all group
planning and scheduled meetings.
Each of Al Qemma staff is expected to have a Professional Development Plan (PDP) based on the
previous years evaluation [if applicable].
Your PDP should be approved by the leadership team and it is each employees responsibility to
see that their PDP is kept current with appropriate documentation of success [i.e. Formal academic
courses; workshops, conferences, seminar, lectures, home study courses; training offered by
ADEC or other school trainingetc.].
Your PDP is expected to be aligned with ADEC requirements as well as with the schools current
School Improvement Plan (SIP). These copies of your PDP will be placed in your school file. It is
your responsibility to discuss any supports required to assist you in the completion of your PDP.
22. Teacher Performance Evaluations

The teacher evaluation process is designed to facilitate open lines of communication, to review job
expectations, and to encourage staff through written and oral evaluation of their strengths and
opportunities for growth. Every teacher will be formally/informally evaluated and observed
regarding the following professional behaviors:

fulfillment of job responsibilities

adherence to ADEC standards

compliance with objectives and goals of the school and the New School Model

physical, mental, and emotional competence to care for the children

dependability and reliability

initiative in implementing the program initiatives

willingness to share the work load and work in a cooperative manner

ability to be a cooperative teacher with your co-teacher

relationships with other staff, parents, and children

attendance and promptness

appropriate appearance
