PS1 FALL 2016

We will be making place-value pizzas to review everything we have done in math in the past little while, and to add
them to our bulletin board outside our class!

Body (40 mins.):

I will have a sample pre-made.
Walk around with sample, circulating through the desks and discussing, in detail, all the different elements and components
Does anyone have any questions before we begin making pizzas?
HAND-OUT PIZZA DOUGH SHEETS
Everyone can take out their pencil crayons and pen.
Pick a number between 1-100, and begin filling out your pizza chart!
For the money section, you could also draw popsicle sticks colour them according to their value in cents.
DRAW AN EXAMPLE ON THE BOARD NICE AND BIG AS WELL TO SERVE AS A GUIDE. OR ON THE EASEL.
This activity will review all the different things that we have learned about numbers in the past couple weeks!

Closure (5 mins.):
CLEAN-UP!
How are we feeling with place-value? Are we ready to move onto something new?
