Action plan
In this project I need to do research on the history of sports interviews. For this
history I need to use research on the history of sports journalism because interview
happen with in sports journalism all the time. One book that I found is going to help
me get information that I need. The book is called Sports Journalism: Context and
Issues by Raymond Boyle. To find models of the genre I am going to look online
at pop culture sites like BuzzFeed, ESPN, BleecherReport. Also, I am going to look
at scholarly sports journals like the Journal of Physical Education and Sport
Management, The Sport Journal and the Journal of Sport History. The other materials
that I am going to use are local newspapers and magazines. I can find them at the
grocery store or gas stations. Many other information for my project I can find on
YouTube.
For the second part of the assignment I have to create the interview.
My interview will be about track and field. I want to create an interview between
Anita Wlodarcik and Martina Hrasnova. I will try to find the same types of questions
in many different interviews and similar reactions to these questions.
C:
Purpose of sports interview Find out the specific facts and information
about hammer throwers Anita Wlodarcik and Martina Hrasnova.
Audience of sports interview people who are interested in track and
field and also in hammer throw.
Rhetorical appeals in sports interview are used ethos, pathos and logos
D:
Since I am not a native English speaker I am having problems
with vocabulary in class and with understanding how to apply the vocabulary
for this project. I do not understand how to talk about the rhetorical appeals,
conventions, features and affordance.
I think it would help me to have a meeting with the professor outside of class
and talk about what I can improve in my project and get some advice.
