Note that it is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to communicate with the PISD Department of Transportation
at (713) 740-0817 before 6:00 am if the student is not going to ride the bus any day. Termination of transportation
will automatically take place if student fails to ride the bus three times without prior notification to the PISD
Transportation Department.
Social Services: If assistance is needed with social services (vaccinations, vision, dental, or
medical referrals, etc.) the student or parent/guardian must contact CCM.
HIGH SCHOOLS ONLY:
University Financial Assistance Letters (Senior McKinney-Vento Students): This letter only
applies to students who do not live with a parent or legal guardian and are requesting
financial assistance for college or university as an independent adult. These letters are
usually for students who will graduate and complete a FAFSA / TAFSA application or
students applying for financial aid for child care. If student is in need of a University Financial
Assistance Letter he/she must notify CCM, who is the designated person to submit a request
for a University Financial Assistance Letter for McKinney-Vento students that are
unaccompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Tuition Assistance: If a High School McKinney-Vento student requires financial assistance
for initial credit, credit recovery, or needs to pay for fees for academic exams, student or
parent/guardian must notify CCM, who is the designated person to submit a request for
tuition assistance for McKinney-Vento students.

Application Process
The individuals in your household that count as household members are

Children under 22 years old
Children, except foster children, under age 18 who are under the parental
control of a person other than their parents who is exercising parental control. For
example, grandparents may apply for grandchildren in their care, even if they do
not have legal custody. The application should take you about 20 minutes. It is
important that you fill out the application as fully as possible. Once you are done
with your application you should return it to your local Food Stamp office.
