-Keep working in the internal factors: basic stroke, sweeps with a good upper-lower body linking
(toes push, core engagement, moving upper body to turning mode), draws with a good range of
motion of the core spring.
-Increase the amount of work del on the links between different trajectories: figure out the intensity
changes and plan the power bursts to get the most out of it, while keeping our movement smooth to
avoid losses of speed and energy.
-Improve the timing (implementation of the internal factors in relation ot the external factors).

-Improvement of anaerobic endurance (alactic and lactic, in and out of the water).
-Transference of the aerobic to anaerobic process.
-Maintenance of aerobic endurance, in and out of the water.

Highlights/ Successes
-The fact of being all of us under the same roof and the house location, 5 minutes paddling to the slalom course, was a huge
success because this allowed the athletes to stay focused troughout the camp, minimize the time losses and increase the
training time, not only in the water but also at the house: video review, stretching, functional fitness workouts,...
-Excellent work of the chaperones: airport rides, cooking, video shooting and downloading all the footage to the Team Hard
Drive, timing and scoring, physical therapy,... allowing the coach to spend a lot of quality time to work with the athletes.
-More individualized schedule than in the Thanksgiving training camp, the athletes (specially the higher level ones had the plan
as a basic proposal, that they could adapt to their needs).
-Since the high performance athletes (U23 / Junior Team members) are already used to the work system, they were extremely
efficient with regards to workout logistics. In some sessions, they even worked by themselves, allowing the coach to spend time
with the beginner and development athletes.
Challenges
To keep a positive momentum in such a long training camp has been challenging. Towards the end, we had to take one day off
and out of the house, that everyone used to relax a little and approach the last 6 days of training with the right mindset.
Schedule
-TCWR training plan, December 23rd 29th (only the weekend is part of the camp)
Results
-Race simulation, December 28th
