Procedure

Route notification form to notify the


area owner/Shift

supervisor/Equipment owner and
manufacturing area affected.

Proceed to Substation. Verify if the


Substation automatically transfer to
1 Emergency Power. Normal Breaker at
Trip Position and Emergency at Close
Position.

Start Genset at Power Plant with the


required capacity of Substation using
2 Genset Start-up Checklist and close
Totalizer Breaker of the Substation to
be transferred.

Set ATS Selector Switch from Auto to


Manual Position.

Verify 3 Phase Voltage at Substation


3 Emergency meter if available and in
tolerable range.

Verify connected UPS and affected


load.

Check all UPS connected to the


4 Substation must be on normal
operation (UPS Mode).

Manual Transfer to Emergency Power if it failed to Transfer in Au


Mode.

Set ATS Selector Switch from Auto to


Manual Mode.

Verify 3 Phase Voltage at Emergency


1 meter if available and in tolerable
range.

Wait for the Shift Supervisor


6 command before executing the
transfer.

Trip Normal Breaker and Close


7 Emergency Breaker. Verify breaker
status.

Directly Trip Normal Breaker and


3 Close Emergency Breaker. Verify
breaker status.

Verify connected UPS and affected


load.

Power Transfer to Normal Power


Route notification form to notify the
area owner/Shift

supervisor/Equipment owner and
manufacturing area affected.

Proceed to Substation, verify 3 phase


voltage of Normal Power if in tolerable
range. Check connected UPS and
affected load of the Substation.

Wait for the Shift Supervisor


3 command before executing the
transfer.

Trip Emergency Breaker and Close


Normal Breaker. Verify breaker status.

Set ATS Selector Switch from Manual


5 to Auto Position.
( Discretion of Shift Leader)
Advise Shift Leader thru two-way radio
6 that the Power transfer was
completed..

Turn on blower fan switch if in off


position.

Verify connected UPS and affected


load.

Set ATS Selector Switch from Auto to


Manual Position.

Verify connected UPS and affected


load.

Auto Mode.

Set ATS Selector Switch from Auto to


Manual Mode.

Verify 3 Phase Voltage at Emergency


1 meter if available and in tolerable
range.

Wait for the Shift Supervisor


command before executing the
transfer.

Trip Normal Breaker and Close


Emergency Breaker. Verify breaker
status.

Directly Trip Normal Breaker and


3 Close Emergency Breaker. Verify
breaker status.

Verify connected UPS and affected


load.

Power Transfer to Normal Power

Proceed to Substation, verify 3 phase


voltage of Normal Power if in tolerable
range. Check connected UPS and
affected load of the Substation.
Wait for the Shift Supervisor
command before executing the
transfer.

Trip Emergency Breaker and Close


Normal Breaker. Verify breaker status.

Set ATS Selector Switch from Manual


to Auto Position.

Advise Shift Leader thru two-way radio


that the Power transfer was
completed.

Turn on blower fan switch if it is in off


position.

Verify connected UPS and affected


load.

Set ATS Selector Switch from Auto to


Manual Position.

Verify connected UPS and affected


load.

Press Logic Off . Verify Red LED light


turns on.

Verify 3 Phase Voltage at Substation


3 Emergency meter if available in
tolerable range.

Shift Selector Knob from Automatic


to Emergency On.

Check all UPS connected to the


4 Substation must be on normal
operation (UPS Mode).

Check all UPS connected to the


4 Substation must be on normal
operation (UPS Mode).

Wait for the Shift Supervisor


5 command before executing the
transfer.

Manual Transfer to Emergency Power if it failed to Transfer in


Auto Mode.

Set ATS Selector Switch from


Automatic to Emergency On. Normal
6 Breaker will trip and Emergency
Breaker will close automatically. Verify
breaker status.

Verify 3 Phase Voltage at Emergency


1 meter if available and in tolerable
range.

Verify connected UPS and affected

load.

Set ATS Selector Switch from


Automatic to Emergency On. Normal
2 Breaker will trip and Emergency
Breaker will close automatically. Verify
breaker status.

Press Logic OFF from ATS 010


controller to deactivate function.

Verify connected UPS and affected


load.

Press Logic OFF from ATS 010


controller to deactivate function.

Power Transfer to Normal Power


Proceed to Substation, verify 3 phase
voltage of Normal Power if in tolerable

range. Check connected UPS and
affected load of the Substation.

Verify that the ATS 010 control switch


of substation is at Emergency On.

3 Press Logic On to activate ATS 010.

Shift ATS control knob from


Emergency On to Automatic.

Verify Emergency Breaker Tripped


and Normal Breaker Closes.

Advise Shift Leader thru two-way radio


6 that the Power transfer was
completed.

Verify blower fan. Turn on blower fan


switch if in off position.

Verify connected UPS and affected


load.

Check all UPS connected to the


5 Substation must be on normal
operation (UPS Mode).

Verify connected UPS and affected


load.

Manual Transfer to Emergency Power if it failed to Transfer in


Auto Mode.

Verify SYMAX PLC must be at Run

Mode.

Proceed to Substation, verify 3 phase


voltage of Normal Power if in
1 tolerable range. Check connected
UPS and affected load of the
Substation.

Wait for the Shift Supervisor


7 command before executing the
transfer.

Set ATS Selector Switch from Auto to


Manual Mode.

Trip Normal Breaker and Close


8 Emergency Breaker using Breaker
Selector Switch.

Verify SYMAX PLC must be at Run


Mode.

Open the panel of SYMAX and Set


9 Key Selector from Run to Halt
Position.

Trip Normal Breaker and Close


4 Emergency Breaker using Breaker
Selector Switch.

Verify connected UPS and affected


load.

Power Transfer to Normal Power


Proceed to Substation, verify 3 phase
voltage of Normal Power if in
1 tolerable range. Check connected
UPS and affected load of the
Substation.
Open the panel of SYMAX and Set
2 Key Selector from Halt to Run
Position.
Trip Emergency Breaker and Close
3 Normal Breaker using Breaker
Selector Switch.
Advise Shift Leader thru two-way radio
4 that the Power transfer was
completed.

Set ATS Selector Switch from Manual


to Auto Position.

Verify blower fan. Turn on blower fan


switch if in off position.

Verify connected UPS and affected


load.

Open the panel of SYMAX and Set


5 Key Selector from Run to Halt
Position.
