Educational Philosophy
Learners are prepared, focused, and engaged in their own learning. Students have a voice
and will participate in class presentations, discussions, projects and more. Learners will cultivate
a welcoming environment for learners by accepting various ideas and input. Learners will be
respectful to peers, staff, classroom guests, and self. Responsible behavior and safety guidelines
are to be enforced diligently to ensure the physical and emotional safety of all individuals. Each
student is seen as a unique learner and will have access to an array of learning opportunities,
being encouraged to take advantage of these opportunities.
Educators are skillful role models in the school and community. Teachers are focused on
establishing relationships with each student and family, becoming part of the support system and
advocating for each individual learner. Teachers are highly educated in his or her subject matter
and always looking for opportunities to further their knowledge, emerging as life-long learners.
The teacher is able to differentiate instruction for students, analyze effectiveness of instruction,
and inspire students to be excited, curious, and passionate about education.
Curriculum is clear, concise, and rigorous in every subject area. The curriculum is
organized so it is easy to understand and implement into the classroom. It is built to allow
educators to supplement the curriculum and to empower the cultivation of foundational skills,
critical thinking, and analytical reasoning. The curriculum will allow students to make
connections across disciplines, developing independent learners that are future focused. The
curriculum is aligned with Nebraska state standards to ensure success on grade level testing.
Instructional methods will encompass a variety of different techniques (differentiated
instruction). These methods are constructed to fluctuate based on the analysis of effectiveness of
each individual technique. Each method is focused on student-driven learning, being presented
by the educator using a logical approach. Each method will incorporate visual, audio, and

kinesthetic components to offer every student the opportunity to reach comprehension.

Technology will be implemented to enable the integration of these components.
The objective of school is to foster a challenging learning environment that values
respect, responsibility, and safety. School is intended to inspire high expectations for
achievement, producing individuals that have the necessary skills to become a productive
member of society. A students educational experience should also promote personal growth,
fostering individuals who continually focus on his or her personal advancement. School is treated
as a vehicle to develop social responsibility, moral character, and cultural growth.
