This ebook describes the different things needed to start and maintain a healthy life. A big part of
having a healthy diet is to eat a variety of different foods such as vegetables and fruits. Some
other things that can be down is to set a weekly schedule of working out at least 2 and a half
hours and to avoid tobacco products. By doing these things and cutting the amount of meats in
their diet people can greatly reduce the chance of contracting diseases such as diabetes, cancer
myocardial infraction and stroke. Changing to a healthier diet can even help increase ones
happiness.
This article describes things needed to be healthy and it also reinforces ideas presented in my
other sources on how to eat healthy and the effects of eating healthy. This article also lists
suggestions on how to change ones diet in order to make it healthy.
This article was written by Dietger Mathias who has received a doctorate in chemistry and
medicine. He spent a year as a research fellow under Severo Ochoa at New York University.

This article talks about the different food groups needed in a healthy diet and the different ways
of getting the proper servings of each group. The article also gives tips on how to add more fiber
to your diet and how to reduce the amount of sugar you take in. The article discusses several tips
of eating healthy such as making sure to watch calorie intake and to have a diet low in saturated
fats and cholesterol.
This article is important to my inquiry because it mentions the need of a proper amount of fiber
in my diet. This article also brings up the amount of water someone should take in on a daily
basis. It mentions the importance of using spices or herbs for vegetables versus butter and fatty
sauces. I feel as though that reducing the number of sodas in my diet is an important change I
need to make and this article confirmed that.
This article was published in The Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA), which has
been in publication since 1883. This is also a peer-reviewed article. JAMA is also the most
widely circulated medical journal in the world.

Several things influence our health and well-being, but the most prominent one is our diet or
eating habits. Making certain changes to our eating habits will reduce the chance of getting sick.
There are foods that can contain a large proportion of saturated fats. These foods tend to create

cholesterol and blood flow problems. The quickest way to lower the levels of saturated fats in the
body is to cut the amount of dairy and meat products you take in on a daily basis. Eating plant
foods can reduce the probability of catching a cardiovascular disease. Taking in fruits and
vegetables into your diet can help lower your chances of contracting certain cancers like, lung
cancer and stomach cancer.
This book demonstrates ways of changing ones diet in order to create a more eating
pattern. In the book the author lists various steps that can be taken in order to create a healthy
diet. By showing this information I can prove the dangers of bad eating habits as well as show
the benefits of a good one. I feel as though this book provides a decent explanation of the
benefits of having a good diet.
This book was authored by the Institute of Medicine (U.S.). Food and Nutrition Board as
well as the National Research Council (U.S.). Committee on Diet and Health and the Institute of
Medicine (U.S.). Committee on Diet and Health. It was also authored by Catherine E Woteki,
who is currently Under Secretary for United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). She was
also The Dean of Agriculture and Professor of Human Nutrition at Iowa State University. Paul R
Thomas also had his hand in making the book.

This website discusses the benefits of eating a balanced diet and exercising regularly. One thing
this book talks about is the importance of eating lean meats, fish and poultry. It also mentions an
important part of a healthy diet is making sure the number of calories your intake matches the

amount you burn. A healthy diet has reduced trans-fat and saturated fat contents. Eating a healthy
diet regularly not only improves your health but also can lead to a happier life by allowing you to
feel better about yourself.

This website talks about the different diseases that can result from unhealthy eating. It also
mentions how ways to create a balanced diet. I feel that this website describes the necessity of
watching your calorie intake. I decided to use this website because it mentions how eating
healthy can also help me increase my self-esteem. By doing this it shows the effects of unhealthy
eating.
This source comes from a government website. The organization behind the website is the
National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute. This organization has been around since 1948, and
has helped make scientific discovers such as successfully reversing pulmonary arterial
hypertension in a rat model using gene therapy.

This website discusses in detail the makeup of a healthy meal. This website discusses the need to
vary ones diet such as eating different types of meat and eating different types of vegetables.
Another important step to healthy eating is monitoring the portion size of the foods and drinks
you eat. Watching the amount of added sugar that is in foods or beverages is also important
because they can often times lead to a high calorie intake.
I feel this website is important to my inquiry because it explains how to read the labels on food
and drinks and how to interpret these labels in a correct way. It also provides relevant

information because of how new the website is. This website also discusses how to interpret the
nutritional value and labels for various foods and drinks. In the website, they also talk about the
role of physical health in maintaining a healthy diet and it mentions the type of exercise like
aerobic activities that are useful in maintaining a proper weight.
This website is credible because it is sponsored by the USDA and is a government funded
website. It also was last updated in June 2015, making it a fairly new website. The USDA has
several quality compliance guidelines that it must follow when releasing information.

furthered your inquiry. You touched on it in a few sources, but left much for me to
assume.

A good font is Times New Roman 12 pt. The font you used is a bit too small (hard on
the eyes).
