Description
Coversheets should be typed. Coversheets should include students first
and last name, name of students school, and the students cohort
graduation date.
All information should be typed and free of spelling errors. Information
should be accurate and current. Students may update this sheet as often
as needed
Students need to complete a minimum of four CTE Summaries. Course
descriptions of each CTE class may be found in the High School Planning
Guide. Students will also need to write a reflection describing their
experience in the CTE class, what they learned and what vocational skills
learned can they apply to their career choice. Reflections should be
written at the end of each course when information is still easily
remembered. If a student takes a CTE course more than once, the
student still needs to complete a second CTE Summary.
Students should follow their schools normal procedures for requesting a
copy of their high school transcript during their senior year. The full
transcript should be included in the portfolio. Students should also include
the completed Request for Transcript their school uses and have the
registrars stamp or signature and date received placed in front of the
actual transcript.
Students are to identify and describe their role in any extracurricular
activity they were involved in for each of their four years of high school.
Extracurricular activities are those that are done outside the normal
routine. Sports, school clubs, church activities, and volunteerism are great
examples of extracurricular activities. If a student has not participated in
any extracurricular activity they should include a personal goal and
career/educational goal for that year. Sections should not be left blank
and N/A is not an acceptable answer.
