INSTALLATION
1. NATIVE INSTRUMENTS KONTAKT
Copy the entire SC Concert Kazoos folder to anywhere you like on your
hard drive. Make sure you keep that folder structure as it is, so that the
Kontakt instruments can find their samples. (If you dont need the EXS24
instruments you can erase that folder but never erase the Samples
folder ).
This library requires the full version of Kontakt 5.1 or later.
It will not work
in the free Kontakt Player.
2. EXS24
Copy the entire SC Concert Kazoos folder to anywhere you like on your
hard drive. Then move the contents of the EXS folder to:
user/Library/Application Support/Logic/Sampler Instruments
Keep the rest of the data together so that you (and EXS24) can find it.
EXS24 will need the sample data in the Samples subfolder.
2. ABLETON LIVE 9
Click the Add Folder command in your sidebar, below PLACES, and
select the SC Concert Kazoos Live folder. This will add the library to your
sidebar, but it wont add the instrument to your category presets. Were still
waiting for a solution to this from Ableton.
INTRODUCTION
25 tuned plastic mouth-horns, or 'kazoos', made by Suzuki. What were they

used for? We don't know. There is very little information to be found online
about this curiosity.
Soniccouture user Josh Prager got in touch with us about them - he'd had
them for about ten years, and thought it might be a good idea if we record
them. So here they are.
LIBRARY SPECS
The instrument is sampled at 44.1kHz, 24 bit, in stereo. There are five round
robins of both the main sound, and five round robins of the key-o (release)
ringing of the 25 instruments. Each was sampled at two velocities.
The range of the instrument is from G2 to G4 originally, although the
samples are stretched beyond that in both directions.
INSTRUMENTS
THE KONTAKT INSTRUMENT
In the Kontakt instrument you can see the original key range on the Kontakt
keyboard below. This is just a guide, as the samples are stretched beyond
that. Remember also that by turning on the Info panel, you can get
information about any control while hovering over it.
FRONT PANEL
The three main knobs along the top are:
SECTION
To control the number of kazoos playing simultaneously.
INSTABILITY To adjust the pitch stability of the kazoos.

KEY OFF
To adjust the of the release samples.
You have control of simple envelope parameters for both Amplitude and
Filter envelopes.
ATTACK
RELEASE
FEG
To adjust the attack time.

To adjust release time.
This small switch changes between the amp or filter envelope.
WIDTH
Adjusts the stereo image. It is normal in the middle.
The bottom row are some filter controls.

CUTOFF
RES
ENV
HPF
The low pass filter cuto frequency.

Resonance of that filter.
Depth of the filter envelope to the LPF cuto frequency.
A static high pass filter cuto frequency.
On the right there is a reverb control with some drop down convolution IRs.
SPACE
Controls the return of the reverb.
THE EXS24 INSTRUMENT

First make sure you copy the Concert Kazoos.exs file to your Sampler
Instruments folder.
( user/Library/Application Support/Logic/Sampler Instruments )
When you next launch Logic, you will see the instrument available in the
EXS24 drop down menu.
THE LIVE INSTRUMENT
The macro controls for the Concert Kazoos Instrument Rack are:
FILTER MORPH - adjust from Low Pass, to High Pass and further
FILTER FREQ - the filter cuto frequency
FILTER RES - the filter resonance
DRIVE - the shaper drive
ATTACK - amplitude envelope attack time
RELEASE - amplitude envelope release time
CHORUS - chorus amount
REVERB - reverb amount

Soniccouture Ltd grants the Owner of a Soniccouture product the right to
create finished musical works and performances using the sounds and
software that comprise the Soniccouture product.
The making of sample libraries in any form, commercial or otherwise,
using Soniccouture audio or software (be they single hits, loops, fully
mixed audio clips, or scripts) is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN without express
written agreement of Soniccouture Ltd, and violations will be prosecuted
to the full extent of international and local copyright law.
The ownership of all title and copyrights in and to the Software (including
but not limited to any images, photographs, animations, video, audio, music,
text, and "applets" incorporated into the Software ) is fully asserted by
Soniccouture Ltd.
The Owner may only install and use Soniccouture libraries and software
on multiple computers strictly under the following conditions: where
multiple computers comprise part of a single composition workstation for
a composer; or where the Owner has two non-concurrent sites of work,
for example a studio desktop and a laptop for live performance.
The Owner may not transfer, modify, rent, lease, loan, resell, distribute,
network, electronically transmit or merge the Software.
DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY: The software is provided "as is" and without
warranty of any kind. The entire risk arising out of the use or performance of
the software and documentation remains with user. To the maximum extent
