Business Case- Treacys Auto Centre
Introduction with Background Information
Treacys Auto Centre is a second hand car
trading and servicing business located
within Kimmage, Dublin 12. The business
sells quality guaranteed second hand cars.
They also provide a servicing option for
people wishing to get their car serviced.
The latest diagnostic equipment is
available for the more modern car, and a
tyre buying and fitting service. They have a
large number of customers collected over
the past 30 years of being within business,
however they have very few social media
connections.

Current Situation & Present Problems

Big client database over paperwork including telephone numbers


Facebook business page with very few connections at 141 likes with no reviews named
Treacys Auto Centre with fortnightly link posts of car adverts.
Facebook business page has no information on services or who they are
Personal Facebook profile named Treacys AutoCentre with 367 friends acting as a
business page the same as Treacys Auto Centre the business page
Not the best knowledge on how to promote using Social Media
Instagram account with 48 worldwide followers and 9 posts over the past 9 weeks
Good website with easy use and pages, yet social media links are hard to come across
YouTube account Treacys Auto Centre with 5 videos of 20-30 seconds with an average of
42 views. Currently there are 0 subscribers and no tag line of Treacys Auto Centre only
the channel name

The Request
Treacys Auto Centre have requested their business to have social media connections. They have
given a set budget of 650. Social media will be used to create a better reach and visibility to
surrounding people. Social media is realistic with the costs and will generate new steam based on
the channels. They have also requested to develop brand awareness. They wish to expand their
clientele with the help of social media as they want new clients to be attracted to the business as
well as keep in touch with already standing customers. Due to the service being located within a
destination it is important to use social media that will provide a network service such as
Facebook.
Proposed Solutions & Recommendations to rectify problems
Understanding the audience with who are they and what do we want from them had to be
researched. Most customers have been customer for over 5 years and a survey of 20 customers
was carried out to conclude that 82% had stayed with Treacys rather than use another business.
Business to consumer content marketing tactic usage is as high as 93% which concludes us to the
fact that social media is a requirement for a healthy business in todays society.
Process Steps
1. Remove the Treacys AutoCentre personal Facebook profile. This is causing confusion on
the business page. The personal profile is aimed at peoples personal lives rather than a
business matter. By removing the personal page we will also be deleting the business
page so the personal page will be edited into a personal name and can be made less
publicly accessible. By doing this the business page will remain and we can enhance it. If
someone searches presently for Treacys Auto Centre the personal profile will be
presented first due to Facebooks search default for peoples personal profiles over pages.
The business page with the current 137 likes can then be revised and edited rather than a
new business page being created.
2. Edit the current Facebook business page Treacys Auto Centre- Adding in categories such
as about us, what services are provided, aim to get Facebook reviews as people trust other
consumers opinions, set up other social media connection links on the right hand side
such as Twitter and Youtube.
3. Create a Twitter account- Enter new Tweets including links to other Social connections.
4. Edit the YouTube Channel- Add information on the channel as such of who they are,
where they are, how to get in touch with them. Every video that is uploaded should have
the taglines of Treacys Auto Centre.

As shown on the left demonstrates how the content of marketing is a continuous circle.

Facebook
Facebook is used as on of the main Social Media Channels so it is hugely important to promote
the business using the Page. People choose Messenger as a source of contact and this revolves
from a Page. It is also the least costly option. Weekly updates of vehicles will be monitored and
opening times and contact details are permanently located on the Page.
Facebook Ads will be something used heavily more the first three months to generate the correct
audience within the limited location. This will help create awareness to the business as a brand.
The Ads will be automatically set up for a budget to be of 10 per day for the first four weeks
(28 days) and then to lower to 7 for the next four weeks (28 days) and then 5 per day for four
weeks (28 days). Facebook will promote the page through Suggested Posts showing to people in
similar locations or to what audience wanted etc. This will be a total of 618
YouTube
YouTube videos will be hugely beneficial to a Google Search for the business but as a Social
Media Channel will be used a Vlog. This will help to build content creation for the Website and
to be posted on Facebook. In each caption for the videos shall be Social Media Channels as well
as the website and Contact details

Google Plus
This is an important Social Media Channel due to the Business location option using Google
Business. This pin points a Business and locates it on the Google Maps when users search for a
Garage Dublin 12 etc on Google

Results
Results of using social media channels can be monitored using Facebook Analytics named Page
Insights. This monitors how many new likes and visits each week and who such as gender, age,
location. The results required is to have more audience reached and likes on Facebook from an
Audience that may have had or is likely to use the businesss services. YouTube helps promotes
through Google the main key points and will be regularly analysed using YouTube Analytics a
tool accessible to every Channel set up.
