UWRT 1101, Literacy Narrative Project Reflection

Please provide a short response to each following question or statement.
1. What option did you select, option one (discussing a known literacy) or option two (a new literacy to learn)? Why did
you go with that particular option?
I choose option one (discussing a known literacy) because writing is a literacy that I know I could demonstrate and teach
to others. I also chose to go with option one because writing is a literacy that I enjoy and that took me years to master. It is
a literacy in which I have gained an abundance of knowledge in and I can give that knowledge to others in order to help
them become strong writers as well.

2. What do you want me to consider as I review your medium choice? If nothing else, tell me about your risk taking.
I want you to consider that I chose my medium choice because Prezi is a media choice that I know how to use well and
am very comfortable with. The items that I was not able to display in my writing, I presented it in my Prezi. Choosing the
medium that I did allowed for me to explain my personal narrative on the literacy of writing in my composition and being
able to demonstrate my literacy visually on Prezi.

3. Influence me further as to what to focus most upon during grading: what do you want weighed most in your favor as I
grade your project? Why?
I want the composition weighed the most in my favor as you grade my project. I want you to weigh my composition the
most because the written portion of my project demonstrates a time in which my literacy was best demonstrated, tying
together all of the skills that I have acquired over the years. My composition also demonstrates how working on my writing
skills over the years helped me to achieve a high mark on one of the most important writing pieces of my life.

4. What would you like to change or to work on more, if you had the chance? Why so?
I would like to work on my Prezi portion of my literacy project a bit more if I had the chance. I would work on my Prezi
more because I feel like I could improve on making it a bit more visually appealing. My Prezi needs more work because I
feel like I could tie my points and ideas together in a better manner.

5. Based upon what you have been assigned, verses what you have completed, what grade does your work justify?
Why?
The grade that my work justifies is a 95 based upon what I have been assigned verses what I have completed. I feel like
my written composition follows the rubric very well and is the stronger portion of my Literacy Project. The media portion of
my Literacy Project follows the rubric very well as well in my opinion. I have completed the work assigned well, it covers
all of the work that I have been assigned. However, I do feel like my media piece could be more visually appealing.
