1. A reservoir that is built to store water for water supply. A river flows into the reservoir and
drains out of it at the east part of the reservoir. Determine the monthly amount of water
that can be drawn from the reservoir to be transferred to the water treatment plant
(WTP), if the maximum drop in the water level is limited to 15 cm. What would happen to
the reservoir level for that month if the annual precipitation drops to 2000 mm/year while
other conditions remain constant? Assume a typical month consists of 30.42 days

2. Explain how the water pressure, unit cost of water and climate influence the
consumption of water.
