For the past year I been dealing with my knee injury/ surgery, and I realized how important it is
we take care of our Knees. Knee popping, ground moves, and loose boog knee rolls were
essential to what I did, and it took a lot out of my game. But right now Im building more
stationary styles and movement and am actually hitting harder with just one knee, and adapting a
one knee pop to all my movement. So right now I say: animated POPPIN of course, Boog
elements, and still doing little set up moves in between,
What area did you represent for back in the days?
Deep South Bronx (where you see all the messed up buildings in movies like Wild Style and
Beat Street.)
You have traveled the world when it come to dancing. Out of all the places you danced at
when it comes to popping what were your most enjoyable spot when it comes to popping?
Osaka.
What are the hot spots for popping?
Osaka but now Tokyo is coming up and Im hearing about Taiwan and Korea.
What is your highlight as a popper?
Dancing with the EBs.
What is the most important moment to you when it comes to popping?
hahaha Dancing with the EBs...lol foreals I dance better when Im with them..
Could you name some of your most remembered production you performed in?
Well Jam on the Groove was the highlight and also Manhattan in Vegas was the show that
brought back the EBs.
How does you view the dance called Popping?
IMO I feel that POPPING is a single dance style, and that the word is self-explanatory. I respect
all styles but I dont really agree with them all under the umbrella term of POPPIN. IMHO And
IMO Sam created POPPING as a technique and a dance style.
What is youre dancing name and what does it stand for when it comes to dancing?
MR WIGGLES really describes me when I was young more so than today. There are more cats
that can jack me for that name today easy. lol But I love the name, its funny cause no matter
how thugged out I might get at times... my name is still Mr wiggles.. lol
Well allot of people prolly think I dance full time and make a billion dollars dancing. In truth I
make more money from my Writers sites (graffiti sites) graffititattoos.com, learngraffiti.net.
The writers scene is much bigger than the dance scene, and the hits on my Graff sites are bigger
as well. Also I sell allot of break beats, you can here some of them on
http://www.redbullbeatbattle.co.uk/, also I did all the Breaks on the Freshest kids DVD,
including the main Beat on the menu.
But I have not been able to travel with the EBs or RSC since 2000, that's when they took my
passport... (Only a couple US shows here and there) so I really have been making a living off
Graff, beats and some DVD sales which are not as big as people might think.
How does we preserve this art form?
Well with all the history issues right now, I hope it all gets sorted out soon, but in truth, the dance
styles are doing well all over the world, and the skills have gotten incredible worldwide. The art
form is doing great globally, but I would like to see more theater productions with POPPING in
it. But globally the scene is allot bigger than we think in the USA.
Do you have any thing to say to the "4dapoppers.com" readers?
Props to Space Capitol for blowing up the internet for POPPIN sites like mine to happen.
much respect brotha..
also
Learn all the history you can. Then draw your opinion (but remain open minded), respect all
OGs, and practice! Learn all styles from every OG you can find. On my site I allow any OG to
drop Bombs, even if its against my crew. It does not mean that I agree with what every other OG
says. I still believe that Sam (along with the original EBs) Created POPPIN and BOOGALOO
styles. But because my forum is about speaking your mind weather I agree or not. And letting
everyone else decide for them selves. I choose to allow all bombs (information, knowledge,
history) to be dropped for the benefit of the community...

your New York days in the 80s?

We all have our belief when it comes to popping history. Some are legit and others are envy,
I have seen so many debates and I'm wondering can we come together as a scene. I noticed
that New York dancers have came together, is it possible for the Funk dances to come
together for the good of the scene?
Yes it is possible, People in other countries already have came together. But we do have hurtles
to jump first. And even though we always refer to old school as if it were 500 years ago. The
truth is this dance is only a couple decades old. Once we get passed the issues, people will come
together.
