Summary:

Project Management:
 Analyze requirements for user requirements received from the internal customer
 Assess feasibility,
 Define project plan and timelines (Prioritization)
 Resource allocation & mapping
 Status reporting
 Ensuring sign off from all stake holders prior release
 Participate in Business & regional initiatives to ensure implementation
Risk Management and Mitigation:
 Ensure solutions are in place to mitigate risk
 Ensure cross training within team
Managing the Team:
 Managing resources and allocating role as per project requirements
 Mentoring the team on technical and business related areas
 Identify Training & personal needs of team and ensure support basis requirement
Quality review:
 Leads software design reviews, test case reviews.
 Ensure team adherence to implemented compliance guidelines
Managing Vendors:
 Provide support to development vendors
 Raise concerns to vender on issues
Manage Software delivery:
 Ensure proper designs using best practices, design patterns and architecture pat
terns
 Streamline processes
 Proper Effort Estimation
 Proper database and SQL query design
 Ensure proper documentation, enhance the documentation of the existing systems
 Provide solutions & workarounds to mitigate the gaps by co-working with subsidia
ry business, Regional HO IT teams
Technical:
 Experience with Java (JSP, Servlet, Java Beans)
 Experience with J2EE (EJB, MDB)
 Experience with SOA (Portal Server, LDAP, Process Server, Edge Servers, HTTP Ser
vers)
 Experience with Reporting tools (Cognos or BO or Crystal Reports)
 Experience with XML/Web Services,
 Oracle/SQL Server (SQL, stored procedures)
 Experience with AJAX
 Experience with Rich Interface Applications.
 Knowledge of Unix (Solaris) and Windows 2003 server
 Experience with content management / web publishing systems
Incumbent Characteristics
Essential
Qualification B.E / MCA & PMP
Experience
 10+ years experience programming web applications in Java
 3+ years experience architecting J2EE web application solutions.
 Worked in Insurance related projects for 1 -2 years
