Main duties include the following:

Maintain organised, accurate and current personnel information hard


copies and electronic records on HRIRIS and ECM as required for
Departmental staff, ensuring that such information remains
confidential.

Administer staff salaries and wages to ensure the timely and accurate
payment of such; provide Time Recording System (TRS) administration.

Coordinate recruitment efforts for all full-time, part-time and temporary


positions including preparing and placing advertisements; collecting and

screening applications; scheduling, preparing information for and


participating in interviews; conducting pre-employment testing and
background checks; and following up with applicants.

Work with Unit Supervisors and Manager to ensure that job


descriptions are an accurate representation of the job function and
duties and of the competencies and skills required; update
organisational charts as required.

Administer employee service and benefits programmes such as health


and pension, ensuring that necessary documentation is filed
appropriately and that relevant information pertaining to such
programmes is circulated for staff information.

Provide guidance and support, as well as help to coordinate and


administer staff development processes including succession planning,
performance management, training and development activities and
disciplinary procedures.

Develop, coordinate and assist with activities and programmes that can
positively impact employee morale within areas such as communication,
social, reward and recognition and health and safety.

Assist in the preparation of the annual Human Resources Budget and


work within the set budget throughout the course of the fiscal year.

Prepare reports on employee-related data such as turnover, training,


performance, compensation, exit interview information and provide
analyses and recommendations on such data as requested.

Conduct orientation for new employees and exit interviews for


employees leaving the Department.

Assist in the development, revision and/or implementation of HR-related


policies, procedures and objectives and related documentation and
presentations.

Prepare documentation in accordance with established requirements as


requested or required for any of the above processes, for submission to
