Alteredchordsareextendeddominantchordsthatarecommonlyusedbyintermediateandadvancedplayersandtheffectiveinharmonyespeciallywhenresolvingto
minorchords.
Thebenefitsofknowingalteredchordsareendlessandthatswhyamtakinganadvantageofthisopportunitytosharewithyouonemoreeasierwaytoformaltered
chordswhicharebiggerchordsusingmajorandminortriadswhicharesmallerchords.
Letsgetstartedwiththislessonbytakingalookattriads.

WhatAreTriads?
Atriadissimplyachordofthreenotes.Achordisacollectionofthreeormorerelatedpitches.Sowhateverisgonnabecalledachordinmusic,hasatleastthreenotes.
Andtriadsarechordsofthreenotes,meaningthat,triadsaretheleastintheclassofchords.
Therearebiggerchordslikesevenths,ninthsandsoonbuttriadsaretheprimitivechordsthebasicchordstructures.Atriadcanbeformedbystackingthreenotes.
Butthedistancebetweenthetriadsthatwearetalkingaboutinthislessonisthirds.
