1. Ellie has produced a basic rock magazine appropriate for their target audience of
typically adult males. Their content page shows particular consideration of the target
audience by using appropriate visual codes. For example, she uses a typically
masculine colour scheme of black, white and red and the layout is quite blocky rather
than simple and elegant, what youd expect from page targeted at women.

nothing is too distracting or complicated, aspects that could put off a reader.

6. Ellie shot a basic variety of photographs. These photographs demonstrate the following
shot compositions.. and angles The mise-en scene is varied; for example, she
uses lighting and shadow to create natural light effects on the guitar. This gives the
illusion of being on stage and having stagelights shining. She also uses a variety of
angles such as one looking up the fret board, a commonly seen shot for pictures of
guitars. She then finally produced the best image which was a guitar at an angle with
the camera panning along the neck. Ellie manipulated the photographs on their double
page spread in a basic manner considering their magazine genre and audience. Some
of the photographs were manipulated to improve their overall presentation. I
manipulated the photos of the doors alive to make them black and white, this improved
the quality and effect of the image as before it included colours such as light blue, pink
and yellow, which dont tie in with my genre, whereas black and white do.
