Sat Nam = Truth is my identity.
This mantra is used as a greeting and a closing/goodbye amongst Kundalini Yogis. It is akin to
Namaste as its translation as a greeting or goodbye is I recognize that truth is your identity

That is the best vitamin; that is the best health capsule you can ever takeyour own breath of
life.
If your breath is very deep in the lungs, it will give you a good red blood. Good red blood, with
the oxygen, is quite sufficiently empowered to take away impurities. When the lungs start
clearing the blood, then the liver, spleen, and kidneys have much less work to do.
The Immune System is the part of our bodies that is our first defense against diseases, chemicals,
microorganisms, and cancer. It consists of our bone marrow, our spleen, our glands and
lymphatic system, and our white blood cells (also called leukocytes).
The spleen is on the left side of the body below the diaphragm, and it is responsible for purifying
the blood by removing damaged and old red and white blood cells.
The Thymus gland, located near the heart and below the sternum, helps to mature white blood
cells and support the immune system in fighting illness.
The adrenal glands, thymus gland, hypothalamus, and pituitary gland all produce vital hormones
for the immune system, but mental or emotional stress can affect this hormonal balance and
weaken the immune system.
Suggested foods and nutrients to improve the immune system and the glands:
Trinity roots: Garlic, onions, ginger; yellow vegetables, bananas, honey, sunflower seeds, yogurt,
okra, citrus fruit, buckwheat, olives, cabbage, vitamins C, D, F, B complex, iron, copper, and
manganese, herbal teas, turmeric.

Foods to avoid: sugar, alcohol, caffeine


How Yoga helps:
Yoga has a powerful cleansing effect, and stimulates blood circulation as well as massages the
internal organs.
Sound and rhythm stimulate the hypothalamus and have a powerful effect on the immune system
(even just listening to soothing music, as well as kirtan music, can have a positive effect).
Kundalini yoga, in particular, places added emphasis on the pituitary gland, which is known as
the master gland, and can help greater awareness of the entire body and through this, greater
mental control of the various systems of the body. This is one of many reasons why Kundalini
Yoga is known as the Yoga of awareness.
