Safety transformers are used for distributing very low voltage; this guarantees
high protection against electrocution.
The short-circuit resistant and the failure proof transformers offer great reliability
in terms of the galvanic separation between the primary and secondary circuits.
Operating conformity is also guaranteed thanks to their short-circuit protection.

In transformers resistant to short-circuit not by construction, the over-temperature
