Specific Objectives:
1. After finding hidden pictures attached to desks,students should be able to:
Observe that the five (5) words found have a Bl consonant blend at the
beginning of the words.
2. Afterviewing a video entitled Bl Song, students should be able to:
Construct at least two sentences using the words or pictures seen in the video.
3. Using the Bl words from the Bl wheel, students should be able to: create a poem in
groups of four (4).

Content Summary:
Consonants are the all the letters of the alphabet excluding the vowels such as a.e.i.o.u.
Consonant blends (also called consonant clusters) are a collection of two or three
different consonant sounds that are each heard when the word is pronounced. For
example, let's look at the word "blink." Both the letters "b" and "l" are consonants. When
the word "blink" is pronounced, you can clearly hear the sounds of both of these letters,
making it a consonant blend. Each letter within the blend is pronounced individually, but
quickly, so they blend together.
