Topic: The Semi-Formal Letter (Unit 5 Writing)
Aims: students should learn how to write a semi-formal letter and gain communicative experience using suggestions and
expressions of agreement or disagreement.
Assumed knowledge: the majority of the students have already passed an intermediate language exam B1 level.
Anticipated problems: students might be unfamiliar with some of the words (explanation in English, Hungarian may be
used if they still do not fully understand), or unwilling to participate in the conversation. The teacher may ask additional
questions in the latter case.
Aids: Textbook, workbook, whiteboard, and chalk.

One student
I ask the students to come up with an activity that is
