as two English elective classes, which I planned the material, utilizing more speaking
skills for the students. I prepared teachers to take the PET as well taught other teachers the
basics. I also had a tutoring class once a week to help those students who found it hard to
learn in the other classes with the other teachers. I was contracted for one year to help
teach regular English classes while the other teachers prepared the students for the
SEMCE test.
2012-2013 American Institute, Santiago, Chile
I worked for CORFO, Chilean Government program, English program with the goals of
increasing student TOEIC scores by at least 200 points. An intensive training course with

12 hours weekly and two 8-hour-weekend sessions.

will be placed in the correct class. I worked the CORFO program each year that I worked
for this Institute, the goal being to raise students TOEIC scores by a minimum of 200
points.
2003-Present Private Classes, Santiago, Chile.
I am currently teaching private, and group classes (Ages 3 to 80). I use many different
methods (non-verbal, visual aids, audio aids including, music, movies and exercises, and
communicative) and materials for my classes. I create different programs for each student
depending on their needs and deficiencies. I also tutor students of all ages to understand
their English classes at school. I have taught in the financial sector, the mining sector,
commercial business sector and the shipping sector.
2009 Teleperformance, Santiago, Chile
I was a call center operator for an American Company. I answered questions about their
bills and helped them with using their service more efficiently.
2008 to 2009 Finning (FINSA), Santiago, Chile
I had 6 groups and 3 private students at Finning. I made a program of courses for them
including the addition of a web page this year. The groups range from basic to advance. I
focused on business topics and pronunciation with a communicative method of teaching.
2007 to 2008 TKLI The Kings Language Institute, Santiago, Chile
I supervised the teachers in Santiago, as well as taught several classes. I evaluated
potential students for class placement, as well as making and giving test for the completion
of each level. I helped the other teachers with training issues as well as issues with class
work or students. I helped with teacher development in areas such as intrapersonal,
interpersonal and personal. I translated documents from Spanish to English and assisted
the translations from English to Spanish.
2006 Academic Director, 4U2, Santiago, Chile
I was the director of all the teachers, about 40. I redesigned the teaching methodology and
structure of the classes. Redesigned much of the paperwork to fit the ISO 9001:2000
requirements (4U2 was just certified in September 2006). I hired, fired and evaluated the
teachers as well as assisting them with problems related to teaching as well as
interpersonal behavior with the students. I translated documents from Spanish to English
and assisted the translations from English to Spanish.

invoiced outsourced-work (approximately 1.5 million dollars monthly) to the City of
Houston, and the State of Texas. I maintained the computer systems and the inventory
control systems. I taught the employees many different skills including use of the

was also my job to prepare these employees to work in an English-based work
environment.
