rfengrali: u there
?
me: waslaaaam
champ kidar gaeb ha
kaisa ha
yar bro ak cheeez bata
rfengrali: han je
mein abhii online aya houn
means office
me:
nice
yar ya bata
rfengrali: ?
me: i havce two formulas for throughput and pay load
in huawei
rfengrali: acha
do tu nahien hoo sakte
han throughput keh do hoo saktye hien
throughput per PDCh
or throught per cell
per payload should be same
me: Average EDGE User Throughput per Timeslot of Uplink (kbps)
"((176*s
um(TOTNUM_UPEGPRSRLC_MCS1DATABLK)+224*sum(TOTNUM_UPEGPRSRLC_MCS2DATABLK)+
296*sum(TOTNUM_UPEGPRSRLC_MCS3DATABLK)+352*sum(TOTNUM_UPEGPRSRLC_MCS4DATABLK)+44
8*sum(TOTNUM_UPEGPRSRLC_MCS5DATABLK)+
592*sum(TOTNUM_UPEGPRSRLC_MCS6DATABLK)+896*sum(TOTNUM_UPEGPRSRLC_MCS7DATABLK)+10
88*sum(TOTNUM_UPEGPRSRLC_MCS8DATABLK)+1184*sum(TOTNUM_UPEGPRSRLC_MCS9DATABLK))/(
20*sum(TOTNUM_UPEGPRSRLC_DATABLK))"
and
(([Total Number of Uplink EGPRS MCS1 RLC Data Blocks]*{22}+[Total Number of Upli
nk EGPRS MCS2 RLC Data Blocks]*{28}+[Total Number of Uplink EGPRS MCS3 RLC Data
Blocks]*{37}+[Total Number of Uplink EGPRS MCS4 RLC Data Blocks]*{44}+[Total Num
ber of Uplink EGPRS MCS5 RLC Data Blocks]*{56}+[Total Number of Uplink EGPRS MCS
6 RLC Data Blocks]*{74}+[Total Number of Uplink EGPRS MCS7 RLC Data Blocks]*{56}
+[Total Number of Uplink EGPRS MCS8 RLC Data Blocks]*{68}+[Total Number of Uplin
k EGPRS MCS9 RLC Data Blocks]*{74})*{8})/{1024}
they are using same
rfengrali: 1184???
me: ya bata do we have diffrent counters for ack and unack mode
rfengrali: oper wala formula GPRS/EDGE ka nahien ho sakta
nichye wala formula thiek hye
me: yar yahi samaj nahi a raha
rfengrali: yeh kuch aur hye
me: that is sent by customer
rfengrali: aur yeh counters bhi
huawei keh nahien hein
me: mmmmmm
yar champ ya bata wat is the difference iun pay load and throughput......... pay
load is total data blks and throughput is per second rite?
rfengrali: ofcourse
me: and
yar main bhoool gaya hun4
why we multiply mcs1 with 22 and rest
rfengrali: so
?
me: why we do it
rfengrali:
me: to get the rlc block in coding scheme 1 rite

rfengrali: because MCS1 has 22 bytes data

me: as per the data rate of that block
rfengrali:
and soo on
me: but bro how it works how can we get the block size in mcs1 by just multypl
ying the data rate of msc1
rfengrali: you multipply
number of RLC data blocks
into size of that conding scheme
to get the total number of bytes
transmitted or recieved
multiplying it with 8 gives you bits
me: and why we divide with 1024 to get megabits rite
rfengrali: dividing it by 1024 convert it to
me: yar i forkot hahahahah
rfengrali: Kb
kilo bits
me: ahan
rfengrali: not mega bits
its a standard formula used by every vendor
me: ahan4
rfengrali: Normally hamarye pas RLC ka hii data hota hye
LLC ka nahien hjota
per you can also calculate LLC thourghut and payload
per us ski kuch khas zarora tnahein perti
kyoun keh we are more concren about Data rather signalling
me: ahan
this throughput wil be per timeslot rite4
rfengrali: nop
there are two ways to calculate
throughput
me: ok
rfengrali: either per PDCH
or per Cell
there is another formula who calculate per use
per its rather tricky
and not used
anywhere
soo norally we use
thourghoput per PDCH
because it will tell us the degradation or improvment in throughtput
per PDCH and therefore use of coding scheme
better the codding scheme, better will be the thoughput
better will be the payload
me: jo main tujha formula bhaja ha that is?
rfengrali: but
payload
not thourghput
Sent at 10:42 AM on Tuesday
me: how can i make it throughput
rfengrali: batata houn
me: ok
and ya bhi bata ka in payload why in the end there is multiplication of 8
rfengrali: its a bit complex calculation
me: ok
rfengrali: to convert it to bits
I shall tell you to GPRS and EDGE
first GPRS
me: ok
rfengrali: the numeraotr would be same

((((L9106*23)+(L9107*34)+(L9108*40)+(L9109*54))*8)/1024)
this is how you calculate the number of bits
and now you want time
((L9102+L9103+L9104+L9105)/50)
this is how you calculate time
me: yar ya bata for this formual the number of bits is different
rfengrali: this is den
me: why 23 instead of 22
rfengrali: this is for GPRS
for EDGE is different
me: ok
and ya bata why u multyplying it with 8
rfengrali: so its a complex calculation
yara
bytes to bits
me: ((((L9106*23)+(L9107*34)+(L9108*40)+(L9109*54))*8)/1024)
(L9109*54))*8)

rfengrali: han je
kuch khas nahien
me: yar ya dake
((176*sum(TOTNUM_DWEGPRSRLC_MCS1DATABLK)+
224*sum(TOTNUM_DWEGPRSRLC_MCS2DATABLK)+
296*sum(TOTNUM_DWEGPRSRLC_MCS3DATABLK)+
352*sum(TOTNUM_DWEGPRSRLC_MCS4DATABLK)+
448*sum(TOTNUM_DWEGPRSRLC_MCS5DATABLK)+
592*sum(TOTNUM_DWEGPRSRLC_MCS6DATABLK)+
896*sum(TOTNUM_DWEGPRSRLC_MCS7DATABLK)+
1088*sum(TOTNUM_DWEGPRSRLC_MCS8DATABLK)+
1184*sum(TOTNUM_DWEGPRSRLC_MCS9DATABLK))
/(20*sum(TOTNUM_DWEGPRSRLC_DATABLK))
if u look at this formula the datya rate is multiplication of 8
thats the customer formula of thorughput per time slot
rfengrali: yes the formula is ok
but
the time duration of MCS 7 8 9 is different
beacuse they require two RLC blocks to transmitt the complete infor
the way they have calculate throughput is woring
me: jigra they r using 2 blocks for mcs 8 and 9
rfengrali: (((L9302+L9303+L9304+L9305+L9306+L9207)/50)+((L9308+L9309+L9310)/10
0))
this sould be the denominator of throughput
for edge
me: yar i didnt get this formula wat is this
rfengrali: you have calculated duration of PDCH
means RLC
me: ok
yar they r using two timeslots for MSC 7 8 and 9
rfengrali: yes
me: so wat do u say is it correct

Sent at 10:59 AM on Tuesday

rfengrali: let me check
me: and jigra what is 50 for mcs 1-6 and why its 100 for mcs 7 8 9 ?
rfengrali: wait
me: ok
