Definitions simple future tense is form the verb used to express that an action
happens in the future, spontaneous or planned.
Formula or wording simple future tense
Simple future tense formed form modal will or shall and bare infinitive or
formed form phrasal modal be going to an bare infinitive.
1.VERBAL SENTENCE
a. Positive verbal sentence
For subject : I, We
Subject + shall + V1
Example: We shall go to Jakarta next week.
For subject : You, They, He, she, It
Subject + will + V1
Example : She will finish her homework tomorrow.
*In general at the moment is a tendency often used for all subjeck
b. Negative verbal sentence
For subject: I, We
Subject + shall + not + V1
Example : We shall not go to jakarta next week.
For subject : You, They, he, she, It
Subject + will + not + V 1
Example : She will not finish her homework tomorrow.
*shall + not can be shortened to shant
Will + not can be shortened to wont
c. Interogatif verbal sentence
For subject : I, We
Shall + subject + V1?
Example : Shall we go to Jakarta next week?
For subject : You, They, He, She, It
Will + subject + V1?
Example : Will she finish her homework tomorrow?
*Interogatif verbal sentence use question word ( not asking subjects).
Question word + shall + subject + V1?
Example: When shall we play football?
2. To be+ going to
Verbal sentence in the form of a simple present tense can be replaced with a
sentence that uses to be + going to to replace shall or will.
a) Positive verbal sentence
Subject + to be + going to + V1
Example:- She is going to buy a doll next week.
- We are going to finish home work this morning
b) Negative verbal sentence
Subject + to be + not + going to + V1
Example:- She is not going to buy a doll next week
- We are not going to finish homework this morning
c) Interogatif verbl sentence
To be + subject + going to + V1
Example:- Is she going to buy a doll next week?
- Are we going to finish homework this morning?
**Interogatif verbal sentence use question word ( not asking subjects).
Question word + to be + subject + going to + V1
Example:-What are you going to bring?
- Where is she going to stay tonight?
3. NOMINAL SENTENCE
a. Positive nominal sentence
For subject: I,We
Subject + shall+be + non Verb
Example: We shall be at hotel tonight
For subject :You,They,He,She,It
Subject + will+ be + Non Verb
Example : You will be happy
b.Negative nominal sentence
For subject : I, We
Subjeck + shall + not +be+Non Verb
Example : We shall not be at hotel tonight
For subject: You,They,She,He,It
Subject + will + not + be + Non Verb
Example: You will not be happy
c.Interogatif sentence
For subject : I,We
Shall + subject+ be + Non Verb
Example: Shall we at hotel tonight?
For subject : They, You, He, She, It
Will+ subject+be+Non Verb
Example: Will you be happy?
