William: Uhhh... were you
robbed?
Chaucer: [laughs] Funny really,
yes, but at the same time a
huge resounding no. It's more
of an... involuntary vow of
poverty... really.

OVERVIEW
The idea I finally settled upon is the scenario of an Old King who has been usurped
by a young, cruel conqueror who has defeated him in battle in his throne room.
As the King tries to hold his composure the only other person in the room besides the
two fighters, the Kings Bard, starts to negotiate with the Usurper pledging his
allegiance to him, showing he had no loyalty to the Old King
The Usurper comes over to the Old King as he catches himself from falling, the
Usurper patronises him by looking at the destroyed and looted Throne Room and
Castle, asking him Facetiously "Have you been robbed?"
Which the king, pulling himself up with the last of his strength, refusing to lose this
battle, laughs to himself before replying "Funny really, yes, but at the same time a
huge resounding no. It's more of an... involuntary vow of poverty... really. "

THE OLD KING

CHARACTER BIO
The old king has been holding the throne for the over 30 years now, originally
inheriting it as a young man he has been a devote and caring king, admired by those
who follow him, but viewed as soft by other leaders.
Through his time he has been through many battles, coming out of them all with a little
wear and tear. His strength though was known through out the kingdoms, wielding a
large age and leading the charge into all attempted conquests, this is not a king who
would hide and let men die.
More of a practicalist than a show off, he cares more for functionality than
appearance, so even though he is an incredibly wealthy man, he still gives off a
somewhat humble vibe.
Even though he getting older he still retains his strength, and is a brave, noble king.

THE USURPER

CHARACTER BIO
A young leader from a far off nation, who has sent his forces to the Kingdom in hopes
of usurping the Old King and claiming the throne for himself.
Even though he is young he has proven his combat prowess already, being infamous
for his speed and surgical precision over the more brutish fighting styles.
He has no doubts about his skills though, and this shows in his personality and visuals,
he is cocky and you would think he loves himself more than any other person.
He is cocksure, flamboyant and deadly, aiming to kill you and look good while doing
it.
