Utilize RCM tools (Root Cause Analysis, Fault tree analysis, Reliability modeling, FMEA's,
Failure reporting, etc.), engineering approaches, the CMMS, other historical data, and
industry best practices to improve equipment reliability and performance.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain documentation
practices to track all work history and improve data analysis. Educate/train the
department on the value of building accurate equipment histories for trending
purposes & reliability improvement.
Work with Project Engineering to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new
and modified installations and adherence to life cycle asset management principles.
Review projects for maintainability and access, providing input on new equipment
selection, defining spare part requirements, communicating PM/ PdM expectations,
participating in final check-out of new installations, defining Maintenance related
training requirements, and supporting development of Engineering Standards.
Strong background in preventative/predictive maintenance of machinery in a
manufacturing setting
Familiarity with the refining industry codes and standards is an asset (e.g. API 510)
You collaborate with others in order to achieve the best results and deliver the most
value
You constantly ask what could go wrong and check for out-of-the-ordinary conditions
and learn to anticipate potential problems
Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Responsabilitys
Work with the maintenance and supply chain teams to identify and process additions
to inventory; identify critical spares and streamline the procurement / stocking of
replacement parts.
Use maintenance planning and supply chain knowledge to develop a Bill of Materials
for every standard job.
Communicate weekly and monthly summaries of Key Performance Indicators for site
equipment and maintenance work management to the relevant teams.
Facilitate the sharing of maintenance best practices across site and work towards a
commonly applied maintenance process in all departments.
Think as an Asset Manager, providing analytical review and input on the purchase,
repair and sale of equipment.
Conduct failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and develop optimum maintenance
strategies for site assets.
Develop plans and oversee repairs to equipment ensuring that all regulatory obligations are
fulfilled.
Perform engineering functions (machine design and equipment modification) and provide
engineering design support to capital projects.
Collect, track and analyze reliability data on site equipment and continuously work to
improve equipment reliability while minimizing maintenance cost.
Troubleshoot equipment failures using root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective
actions to prevent re-occurrence.
