Downloadtheowb_setup.zipfilebyrightclickinghereandselectingSaveTargetAsfromthepopupmenu.Direct
thedownloadtoanydirectoryonyourLinuxfilesystem.
Afterthedownloadiscomplete,extractthezipfileandyoushouldgetaowb_setupfolder.
Notethattheowb_setupfoldercontainsthree.mdlfilesandafolder,dp_setup_files.Inthedp_setup_filesfolder,
therearefilesrequiredtosetuptheenvironmentforthe"ExaminingSourceDataUsingDataProfiling"tutorial.
2. Optionally,foreasyaccesstothe.mdlfileswhenyouimportthem,youmaywanttocopyallthethree.mdlfilesto

Launcher.EnterthelaunchernameasOWBDesignCenter.Browsetothe[ORACLE_HOME]/owb/binfolderand
selectowb.sh.ClickOK.
4. Browsetothe[ORACLE_HOME]/jlib/folderanddeletetheoracle_ice.jarfile.
Note:StartPagebug:IntheOracleWarehouseBuilderintegratedinstallationthatisincludedwithOracle
Database11.2,linksfromthenewStartPageincludedintheDesignCenterdonotfunctionproperly.Thisproblem
doesnotaffecttheOracleWarehouseBuilderstandaloneinstallation.Theonlinehelpbuganditsworkaroundis
mentionedintheOWB11.2ReleaseNotes.Deletingtheoracle_ice.jarfilewillresolvetheissueandyouwillbe
abletobrowsethelinksintheStartpage.

ConnecttoSQL*PlusassysdbaandissuethefollowingcommandtocreateOWBSYS:
@[OWB_HOME]/owb/UnifiedRepos/cat_owb.sql
YouwillbepromptedforatablespacefortheOWBSYSuser.Forthistraining,itisrecommendedthatyouspecify
theUSERStablespace.Enterusers.
IMPORTANT:IfyouareusingOracleDatabase11gRelease1,italreadycontainstheOWBSYSschemawhichis
theOracleWarehouseBuilder11gR1repository.Youmustcleanitbeforesettingupthe11gR2repository.To
cleantheOWBSYSrepository,youmustrunclean_owbsys.sql,followedbycat_owb.sql.Theclean_owbsys.sql

existingOWBSYSschemainstallations,butleavestheschemaotherwiseintact.So,ifitisOracleDatabase11g

RunthescriptasasystemprivilegedusersuchasSYSorSYSTEM.
