Replacing the igniter board

MaxFire (S/N 3000 – 9800)

Tools needed to replace the igniter board:

• Needle nose pliers.
• Phillips screwdriver.

o Unplug the stove.

o Remove left side screw and panel.
o The igniter board is located vertically to the right of the main control
board.
o Pay close attention to where the wires are on the igniter board.
o It may be helpful to mark the wires as you take them off.
o NOTE: Only remove wires from the igniter board
o Disconnect all of the wires going into the daughter board.
o There are four clips at the corners that need to be removed. (See figure
A)
o Remove the old igniter board from the stove.
o Install the new igniter board.
o Reconnect all the wires.
o NOTE: Be careful when connecting the black ribbon cable to the
"J3" terminal making sure that the connector sits on ALL of the
pins.
o Replace the left side screw and panel.
o Plug the stove back in.
o Check for proper operation.
