MULTIPLE AIRPORT SYSTEM

Airport development at Metropolitan areas:


1. More than one airport to serve cities;
2. There may be factors preventing expansion
to existing airports;
3. Reducing congestion at main existing airport;
4. May be built to cater for specific uses such as
for international and domestic.

Airports at Capital Province are built and developed with runway classicaLon number 4C.

AIRPORT DEVELOPMENT PLAN at


DISASTER and DISASTER-PRONE AREAS

1. Airports at disaster area and/or disaster-prone area are developed in order to serve
Hercules C-130 operaLon and 50 passengers aircraa to evacuate and distribute
medicine and transport logisLcs with airport classicaLon number 3C.
2. If possible, airport can also be used as a crisis center for managing disaster

NEW AIRPORT DEVELOPMENT


New Airport development policy:
1. Demand for air transportation;
2. If existing airport can no longer be developed to accommodate the increasing
growth in traffic (demand);
3. Multiple Airport System, support main existing airport to reduce traffic
congestion at main existing airport.
4. Access by land/sea to a region is difficult.
5. Because of changes in the strategic policies of the government.
