Capital Of Canada: Ottawa

10 provinces and 3 territories. Canada is the world's second-largest
country by total area ninth highest per capita income globally

Why Canada
Work Allowed during study: Unlike USA where you cannot work off campus in
first year, in Canada you can work from start of your course.
Topic 1: Lowest Fee Among English Speaking Study Destinations
Tuition fee of similar ranked universities in USA, Australia etc are higher for
example; Manitoba is in world top 400 universities but yearly fee is around
14500C$ but same ranked Swinburne in Australia charge some 27000A$ for
yearly fee. You can find such so many different examples.
Topic 2: Co-op Study:
After every 4 month (one term) student can take co-op option mean one term
for full time placement in industry. For example during a 4.5 year degree in
Waterloo, student will have some 2 year experience with 6 employers in
relevant field of work. See below example of page 4 Waterloo.

See below another example of Co-op work in Thomson River University where it
offers 5 co-op terms usually as compare to usual 6 co-op terms at Waterloo.

Note: McGill, Simon Fraser etc do not offer co-op in first or initial two years. For
Alberta student need to show good GPA like 3 for progression in engineering.
Waterloos engineering and co op is thats why better then these.
Student can complete few degrees without opting co-op in order to complete
degree in almost three years but for some programs especially Engineering coop is mandatory.
For immigration even where one year experience is mandatory in Experienced
Class category, when student will have experience of working with 5,6
employers, chances of again to be employed with anyone immediately upon
graduation is high.
Topic 3: Post Study Work Visa (PSW)
After completion of any qualification like diploma, degree Canada allow student
to live in Canada and search or job, to get Canadian experience of different
durations to get immigration. Like;
Course duration from 8 month duration up to 23 month = equal month PSW
visa
Course duration 2 year or above = 3 year post study work visa
UK is not offering any such work visa after degree except one year after PhD.
New Zealand, Ireland offer only one year job search visa. Australia offer 2 year
job search visa. USA offer one to 3 year visa on specific courses so Canada is
flexible and open.
As an example; student going to Thomson River University for 4 year BBA or 5
year BBA/IT dual degree can take a break in study by completing associate
degree of two year in Computing or Business etc rather than completing full
degree. This way he will get 3 year post study work visa, in which if he work for
one year he can then get immigration within one year process time and third
year he can start at same or even higher ranked university if has better CGPA by
studying as local Canadian at local fee even funded as loan by Canadian bank.

So, Canada offer longest co-op even without completing of degree and even on
one year diploma.

Topic 4: Immigration Process

In Post Study Work Visa duration, one year experience generally required, for
Ontario or most provinces but for some areas less experience can be enough
like Manitoba require 6 month experience in PSW duration and New Brunswick
require 3 month experience only (though then u need to stay for some 2,3 years
in same province).
Note: Immigration also takes few months or even year to complete especially in
Ontario it take more time.
Topic 5: Same Quality of Education in College and Universities with
100% Credit Transfers.
Except Ontario state, and especially in British Columbia state below rule applies
to ALL universities though example university has given for their programs.
Mean student if not getting admission in top University directly, he can still aim
studying at university like UBC ranked in world top 30 by studying first two year
at college and last two years at UBC even being Canadian and at local fee.

Topic 6: No limitation of Skill Shortage Occupation to get Immigration

Student even after studying degree in Liberal Arts and Music can get
immigration by having experience of one year etc in his field. This is unlike USA
where student need to study only STEM programs (Science, technology,
engineering, mathematics) to get 3 year work permit after study, OR AUSTRALIA
OR NEW ZEALAND, where chance of getting immigration depend on SOL or
CSOL List (you can google it to see field mentioning occupation in high demand
like Accounting and Engineering mainly exist)
Topic 7: Statement Requirement for just one year
See below link from official website;
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/study-how-documents.asp#doc3
First year living expense of 10000C$ plus tuition fee balance should be shown.
Statement history of 4 month need to be shown. Normally we show 25,30 lakh
bank statement. Like semester fee is paid, next semester balance fee is 10,000$
plus 10,000$ is living expense, plus some extra travelling insurance etc 5000C$.
Unlike USA, first year living is not mandatory in university accommodation so
actual living cost can be even 200 to 500$ per month.
Topic 8: Intakes
General intakes are January / September but May intake for several courses is
also available in Thomson River University, ICM (Manitoba Uni), FIC (Simon
Fraser Uni).
However direct applying to universities like Simon Fraser can become problem
as it ask for submission of original documents too as part of admission process
with limited multiple intakes of course.
Topic 9: No SAT requirement
Even top universities do not require SAT except student having US qualification
are required to have SAT score.
Topic 10: Not many academic references required for most universities
Admission process is less complicated, essays also do not value much in
admission so one can get admission on merit.
Topic 11: Visa fee etc
Topic 4: Visa Fee 150C$ plus medical takes some Rs. 10,000/Topic 12: Deposits before Visa
Few Universities take first semester fee like ICM, FIC, TRU but some charge fee

upon arrival like Waterloo.

Topic 13: Work permission during Study
Student is allowed to work right from start of study as compare to US where
work off campus is not allowed during first year. Off course this is beside co-op
working which is relevant to industry.
