Operation

Table 5. Corrected Operation Issues (Continued)

Issue

Description

This issue has been fixed.

During very high load conditions, RTDB
OPC help tables may consume more disk
throughput time which may cause
CPimsEventCollector service to restart
periodically.
800xAHistory-OL-2000-009

In redundant data collector configuration,
OPC DA data from History Server to
800xA does not get written if the primary

This issue has been fixed.

OPC DA data from History Server gets written to
800xA through secondary data collector when the
primary is down.

800xAHistory-OL-2000-021
During very high load conditions, 800xA

Operation

Section 1 Release Notes

Table 5. Corrected Operation Issues (Continued)

Issue
When there was a network disconnection
between the Data Collector and the
History Server, the History Supervision
aspect would not update to reflect the
correct status of History Services of
800xA History Server. A Workplace
restart was required to get the
Supervision aspect to reflect the proper
status.

Description
This issue has been fixed.
The status of History Services of 800xA History
Server is now properly updated in the History
Supervision aspect when there is network
disconnection between the Data Collector and the
History Server.

800xAHistory-OL-2000-012
While the 800xA History Sync Service
was synchronized with the History
Services of Data Collector, a network
disturbance between the Aspect Server
and the Data Collector would result in
deletion of tags in Data Collector and
History Server.

This issue has been fixed.

Tags will no longer be deleted from the Data
Collector and the History Server even if there is a
network disconnection between the Aspect server
and the Data Collector during tag synchronization.

800xAHistory-OL-2000-013
This issue has been fixed.
After History Server restart from any
maintenance activity, backfill of data from
Data Collector to History Server does not
happen completely for the History Logs for
which Compression was Disabled.
800xAHistory-OL-2000-014
History Supervision aspect does not
switch over to next available Service
Provider or Service Group when the
connected 800xA History SyncService
Provider is out of service.

This issue has been fixed.

Section 1 Release Notes

Operation

Table 5. Corrected Operation Issues (Continued)

Issue
After restart of History Services in 800xA
History Embedded Data Collector, 800xA
History Sync service does not return
History Services status alarms from ACT
to RTN.
This happens only when there is delay in
start of History Services and 800xA
History Sync Service does not check for
the current status of History Services in
Data Collector, before reporting the active
alarms to 800xA.

Description
This issue has been fixed.
When History services are restarted in 800xA
History Embedded Data Collector, the 800xA
History Sync Service checks for current status of
History Services before reporting the status alarms
to 800xA.

800xAHistory-OL-1022-009
For 800xA History Logs, the Seamless
algorithm of 800xA trends does not
retrieve data older than 31 days
(approximately) with log update rate as 1
second.

This issue has been fixed.

The Seamless algorithm will now be able to retrieve
data as old as 365 days.

The oldest data retrieved by Seamless

algorithm depends on the update rate of
the Log Configuration.
800xAHistory-OL-2000-019
In redundant data collector configuration,
if one of the data collector that provides
data to 800xA Trends becomes
unavailable then the 800xA Trends plot no
data, though the data actually got
collected by another data collector and
stored in History Server.

This issue has been fixed.

In redundant data collector configuration, the
duration of unavailable data from one of the data
collector will now be retrieved from History Server
and be plotted in 800xA Trends, provided the
redundant data collector collects and buffers the
data to History Server.

Different icon in Vtrin for Invalid variables
and Inactive variables.

Description
The modification of the icons on variables can be
done by navigating to
%app_datapath%\VtrinShared\Icons and creating a
new Icon file and renaming to the desired one.
For example a user wants a different Icon for
"Uninitialized" Tag. The default icon is a " ?".
So you can create a icon file in
%app_datapath%\VtrinShared\Icons and name it as
Uninitialized.ico and restart the Vtrin on this node.
The icons will be changed.
Please note this changes will not be moved from
DCN to History Server, because from DCN to
History the data is moved via Vtrinlink and not OPC
DA. Hence, these Icon changes are valid for Loca
DCNl Nodes only.
