HEAVY TRAFFIC

The heavy traffic in Metro Manila is not

only caused by the lack of roads or the
congestion of buses in the National Capital
Region. The stressful traffic jams are also
due to many other factors, such as the
overpopulation of residents, congestion of
private vehicles, inefficient services of rail
transportation, and the ineffective traffic
control management in the countrys
capital region.

TRASH
The more waste in the Philippines causes
the increase in global warming, high
temperature and less oxygen because of
the air pollution.The Philippines trash
increased by 40 percent in 2010 and the
ocean found 1,355,236 items of trash and
people, nearly 400,000 volunteers, gather
from around the world just to help in the
Philippines.

FLOODING EVERYTIME
WHEN THERE IS RAIN
Torrential rains brought the Philippine
capital to a standstill, submerging some
areas in waist-deep floodwaters and
making streets impassable to vehicles
while thousands of people across coastal
and mountainous northern regions fled to
emergency shelters.

HIGH CRIME RATES

Philippine crime rate up by
46% MANILA, Philippines- While
the Philippine National Police (PNP)
claimed a 60 percent decrease
in crimes in Metro Manila, the number
of crimes committed nationwide
increased by about 46 percent during the
first six months of the year as compared
to the same period last year.Aug 3, 2015

DRUGS
The illegal drug trade in the Philippines
remains a very serious national concern.
Two of the most used and valuable illegal
drugs in the country
are methamphetamine
hydrochloride (shabu) and marijuana.

POOR EDUCATIONAL
SYSTEM
The Philippines education system is
managed by the Philippine department of
education. It controls the general running
of schools and colleges in the Philippines
and controls the curriculum in the
Philippines education system. It also
details things such as how teachers are to
be hired and what qualifications they
should have. My sequence essay is based
on the education of a person born in the
Philippines.

POVERTY AS SEEN IN THE

SQUATTER AREAS
Definition of a squatter settlement varies
widely from country to country and
depends on a variety of defining
parameters. In general, it is considered as
a residential area in an urban locality
inhabited by the very poor who have no
access to tenured land of their own, and
hence "squat" on vacant land, either
private or public.

TOO MUCH POLITICS

With the kind of politics and political
system that the country has, theres no
doubt that the national economy is always
vulnerable to graft and corruption. Worse
is that even those public officials accused
of corruption still cling to their seats like
leeches

POLLUTION
The Philippines also suffers major humancaused environmental
degradation aggravated by a high annual
population growth rate, including loss of

agricultural lands, deforestation, soil

erosion, air and water pollution, improper
disposal of solid and toxic wastes, loss
of coral reefs, mismanagement and abuse
of coastal resources, and overfishing.

CORRUPTION

Corruption in the Philippines.

The Philippines suffers from
widespread corruption. Means
of corruption include graft, bribery,
embezzlement, backdoor deals, nepotism,
and patronage.
