a train from Jakarta to Bogor Station,
then on the Bogor-Sukabumi track and

CHRISTMAS IN TOWN
It was indeed a special Christmas celebration at the Hotel Borobudur
Jakarta, as the hotel was blending Christmas touches with local culture
throughout their decorations, dominated by turquoise and purple. But that
wasnt the only highlight. Celebrating last years festive season, Hotel
Borobudur Jakarta appointed Indy Barends, one of Indonesias top TV
presenters and radio DJs to be their icon for their Signature Christmas Log.
The hotels pastry team created a vintage radio-shaped cake with a headset
and a microphone that well represented Indy Barends career this cake
consisted of chocolate sponge, chocolate mousse, berry compote and
sable cracker, and was for sale for Rp. 648,000 nett. Aside from the Indy
Barends Signature Christmas Log, the hotels pastry team also created a
giant Dutch Windmill Gingerbread House that made Christmas at Hotel
Borobudur Jakarta even merrier.

On January 21, bring your children to CushCush Gallery and let them practice their creativity by joining
in the third session of the Charcoal for Children workshop. Organized by CushCush Gallery, this
workshop is a part of the gallerys LagiLagi program and is a continuation of the previous Make Your
Own Charcoal class. However, as the last workshop invited children to recycle off-cuts into daily utensils
like spoons and forks, this time the CushCush Gallery will share how to turn twigs or off-cut timbers
into drawing charcoal. Children will be able to draw and paint using charcoal as well as learn new
techniques and make collaborative artwork with some invited artists. This workshop also aims to increase
childrens awareness of the environment and raise some funds for LagiLagis future projects. The CushCush
Gallery will also display all the artwork made during this workshop including the ones created during the
rst and second sessions of Charcoal for Children that were held in September and October of 2016.

CHRISTMAS LIGHT
Last Christmas, Conrad Bali organized a Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony in their East
Lobby Lounge. The ceremony started off with singing by a choir from the Oikumene Protestant Christian Church, and the guests who attended the ceremony were able to check
out the 20-meter long stollen cake made by Conrad Balis pastry chef. A charity sale was
