A set of instructional pages written in an easy-to-understand language and comple

mented by graphics and Check Your Understanding sections. An ideal starting loca
tion for those grasping for understanding or searching for answers.
PHYSICS INTERACTIVES
This newest section of our site includes a rapidly growing collection of HTML5 i
nteractive physics applications. Designed for tablets such as the iPad and for C
hromebooks, this user-friendly section is filled with skill-building exercises,
physics simulations, and game-like challenges.
MULTIMEDIA PHYSICS STUDIOS
A large collection of GIF animations and QuickTime movies designed to demonstrat
e physics principles in a visual manner. Each animation is accompanied by explan
ations and links to further information.
SHOCKWAVE PHYSICS STUDIOS
A collection of pages which feature interactive Shockwave files that simulate a
physical situation. Users can manipulate a variable and observe the outcome of t
he change on the physical situation.
MINDS ON PHYSICS THE APP
We have completed Version 2.0 of Minds On Physics the App. We also just released
the Mac version of the app series. Users of smart phones, tablets, Chromebooks,
and Apple computers will enjoy using this awesome program on their devices. It
is a re-make of our popular Minds On Physics Internet Modules ... on steroids. L
earn about our exciting project and begin MOP-ping on your phone, tablet, Chrome
book, and Mac. (Windows versions are under construction.) Students will apprecia
ted the immediate feedback, the question-specific help, and the repeated opportu
nities to correct misconceptions. Teachers will appreciate the extensive progres
s reports provided by the App version of our Minds On Physics program.
MINDS ON PHYSICS - LEGACY VERSION
Minds On Physics - Legacy Version is the browser-based, Shockwave-dependent vers
ion of Minds On Physics the App. Relying on the Shockwave plug-in and a collecti
on of carefully crafted questions, the Legacy Version of MOPs seeks to improve s
tudents' conceptions of physics. Formerly named the Minds On Physics Internet Mo
dules, this Shockwave-delivered program combines interactive questioning modules
with web-based instructional resources to engage students in an exercise in thi
nking, reflecting and learning. Students will enjoy using these for practice and
teachers can use them as homework assignments.
THE CALCULATOR PAD
With problems, answers and solutions, The Calculator Pad offers the beginning st
udent of physics the opportunity to conquer the most dreaded part of a physics c
ourse - physics word problems. Each problem is accompanied by a concealed answer
which can be revealed by clicking a button. And each audio-guided solution not
only explains how to solve the particular problem, but describes habits which ca
n be adopted for solving any problem.
THE REVIEW SESSION
A collection of pages with questions and answers/explanations which serve as rev
iews or practice. Each review complements a chapter from The Physics Classroom T
utorial.
PHYSICS HELP
A variety of question-and-answer pages which target specific concepts and skills
. Topics range from the graphical analysis of motion and drawing free body diagr
ams to a discussion of vectors and vector addition.
ACT TEST CENTER

Calling all high school juniors: You've trusted The Physics Classroom to help pr
epare you for that unit exam in physics. Why not trust us to help prepare you fo
r the biggest test of the year - the ACT test? That's right. Let the TPC help yo
u with the ACT.
CURRICULUM CORNER
A collection of classroom ready worksheets for use by teachers with their classe
s. Pages are synchronized to readings from The Physics Classroom Tutorial and to
assignments of The Minds On Physics Internet Modules. And now teachers can purc
hase the Solutions Guide CD containing complete answers, explanations and soluti
ons to all worksheets. This is a section of great usefulness to teachers and of
little interest to students.
QUESTION BANK CD
Writing good tests and quizzes for your physics class just got a whole lot easie
r! With The Physics Classroom's Question Bank CD, physics teachers can quickly p
ut together multiple choice and free-response quizzes and tests that target conc
epts discussed at The Physics Classroom website. The Question Bank is available
for purchase as a CD resource. Use of the CD requires the Microsoft Word applica
tion.
NGSS CORNER
Our newest section, the NGSS Corner assists teachers of Physics and Physical Sci
ence in aligning their curricula with the Next Generation Science Standards. Num
erous resources are identified and their alignment with the NGSS is described.
TEACHER TOOLKITS
The Teacher Toolkits provide teachers with packages of online resources (simulat
ions, movies, animations, demonstration ideas, etc.) that are organized around a
topic and a set of learning objectives. These resources, when combined with the
numerous resources on our own site, allow teachers to plan high-quality, engagi
ng instruction and to map out a curriculum that is NGSS-based.
THE SCIENCE REASONING CENTER
The Science Reasoning Center includes teacher-friendly and classroom-ready resou
rces for culturing your students' science reasoning skills. A resource CD is als
o offered to assist you in your efforts to develop a plan that both improves and
assesses your students' abilities to interpret data, analyze experiments, and e
valuate models and theories.
THE LABORATORY
While you explore the approximately 150 labs here at The Laboratory, you will li
kely generate some questions about how they are used and how you can use them. T
his page, and the pages it links to, are hoped to provide some answers to those
questions.
THE PHOTO GALLERY
The Photo Gallery provides teachers a toolbox of physics-relevant photos from th
e wealth of photos on Flickr. The Photo Gallery offers teachers three things: ac
cess to photos, organized by topic; a collection of nearly 30 galleries; and an
invitation to join this exciting project of capturing and sharing physics phenom
enon with a camera. Of course, students are welcome to participate as well.
SHARING TOOLS
More and more teachers are adopting The Physics Classroom as their textbook. We
don't blame you if you do. You sure can't beat the price ... and we think its pr
etty good stuff and are confident it will keep growing. But once you join the cl
ub, its time to get your students on board. Let us help. We're offering you a la
