Major Assessments/Calculation of Grades:


MAP Testing September, December, March
CoGat Testing: November
ITBS Testing: November
Reading/Language Arts: Reading assessments will be given weekly and at the end of
each unit. Spelling tests are given every Friday.
Math: Math assessments will be given at the end of each unit. Minor assessments
are given weekly.
Science/Health: Science/Health major assessments will be given at the end of
each unit. Minor assessments are given weekly.
Social Studies: Social Studies major assessments will be given at the end of each
unit. Minor assessments are given weekly.
Grading Scale:
90 100 A
80 89 B
70 79 C
60 69 D
Below 60 F
Grading Procedures:
Reading/Language Arts: The grades will be based on the average of test scores and
class work. There will be approximately 9 quizzes and 1 theme test every nine
weeks. All scores will be averaged together since the skills are to be weighted
more than the tests.

Mathematics:
