Key activities

Production
Designing the product to make it user friendly is playing a more and more important role in
efficient and secure access control as well as payment for miscellaneous applications,
including events, festivals, amusement parks and hotels.
In terms of event management or access control in festivals, using RFID wristband to manage
access at events can deliver a variety of benefits to organizers and ticket-holders. Concretely
speaking, adapting RFID technology to a security wristband gives organizations access to a
world of possibilities, for example, precisely knowing how many people are in attendance
and easily collecting data about individuals like name and contact information.
For wristband users, RFID wristbands help them to spend their time enjoying their venue
instead of waiting in line, and at the same time, the contactless payment function of RFID
wristband can eliminate transaction friction resulting in higher per capita spending and
improve customer experience.
Delivering
Our main goal is to supply to all the theme parks, music festival, sporting events like football
matches and even other big events like the Olympic Games. Samsung and Visa have worked
together to install over 3,000 terminals on the 2012 London Olympic grounds to coincide
with its official payment app, payWave.

Research and development cost

Implementation costs can be broken down into four broad areas:

1. Hardware: tags, readers, and transponders, as well as any relevant capital equipment.
2. Intangibles: consulting, analysis, and services. These costs include business process
analysis, site surveys and reliability studies, training and implementation, research and
development, and troubleshooting.
3. Changes to existing supply chain applications: purchasing middleware, upgrading
enterprise systems, or purchasing RFID software.
4. Storage and analytics of large volumes of data.
$500,000 USD

Ongoing costs
Beyond the initial heavy costs of consulting and planning, adopters can expect their largest
implementation expense to come from tags and labels, and whatever system and IT upgrades
are necessary for a broader enterprise-wide adoption.
Ongoing expenses also include third-party service provider fees, such as Touch n Go salesbased subscription fee$75,000 for companies with annual sales of $1 billion to $10 billion
