Prof. DR. R.

Soeharso is a surgeon, Indonesian national hero and founder Professor Doctor


Soeharso Rehabilitation Center in Surakarta which is home care for people with physical
disabilities. He was born in Ampel, Boyolali, Central Java on May 13, 1912 and died in Solo,
Central Java, on February 27, 1971 at the age of 58 years.
BEGINNING
Soeharso Flower was born in the village, on the slopes of Mount Merbabu, including the District
Ampel, Boyolali, Central Java. On May 13, 1912 His father was Sastrosuhardjo, once a village

EDUCATION

After graduating AMS, he got a scholarship to study at the School of Medicine (NIAS) in
Surabaya. During a student he also remained involved in the arts. He founded the art association
Mataya Students in Surabaya.
In 1939 Soeharso NIAS pass the exam and are entitled to use the title Indisch Arts. He began
working at the General Hospital (CBZ) Surabaya. In addition, he was always keen to add to their

Dr. Soeharso died at the age of 59 years on February 27, 1971 in Surakarta after a six-month
illness.

To appreciate jasanyya services, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia awarded the title
of National Hero Dr. kepada.almarhum Soeharso by Presidential Decree No. 088 / Tk / 1973
dated 6 November 1973.
