Course Description:
This course will provide the students an analytical perspective which is vital to a better understanding of the growth and development,
the form, the structure and functions of the government. The course also includes a discussion on human rights and the obligations of citizens
which is an essential ingredient for the development of good citizenship values.
Course Outcome:
At the end of the semester, the student in this course should be able to:
Cognitive: Discuss the basic principles and concepts in politics and government;
Affective:
Describe the nature of Political Science as a discipline;
Affective:
Enrich his awareness and interest in issues and problems concerning politics and government; and
Psychomotor:
Critique and propose solutions to these problems and issues

Classroom Policies:
1 Students who are late for 15 minutes shall be marked absent.
2 Students who shall incur 11 hours of absence in class for the whole semester shall be dropped from the course.
3 Students shall wear the prescribe school uniform at all times except on Wednesdays.
4 Students shall observe proper decorum and discipline at all times.
