About aspenONE
aspenONE is a unified web and mobile environment for searching, sharing,
viewing, interacting, and collaborating using the content produced by Aspen
Techs engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain products. Using
aspenONE, your organization has anywhere anytime access to plans,
schedules, simulations, and production performance information to
collaborate effectively. Anytime anywhere access also provides access from
any device connected to your network, and lets you do your work when you
are not at your desk.
The aspenONE Web interface provides easy access to Aspen Techs products
from a web browser, anywhere, anytime. With aspenONE applications for
Simulations, PIMS Platinum, and aspenONE Process Explorer, you can find
and run simulations, view and execute plans, view schedules and compare
with plans, see real-time plant data, save your work at any point, and pick up
where you left off on another device without having to install additional
software on your computer.

Whats New in aspenONE

V8.8

aspenONE Drive
aspenONE Drive is a feature in Aspen Plus and Aspen HYSYS V8.8 that allows
model authors to upload and access their models and those shared by other
users from any device on the company network. Model authors can keep
models private or share with specific colleagues and, if required, choose to
prevent the model from being downloaded, thus protecting intellectual
property. Shared users receive an email containing a link to the model on
aspenONE Drive where they can search for models, download models to their
desktop (if enabled) or view and run models on the web.
To get started with aspenONE Drive, install aspenONE Web Server
(Engineering DVD 1) on any PC/server on the network, and enter the URL for
the server on the aspenONE Drive page in Aspen Plus or Aspen HYSYS. To
use aspenONE Drive, you must be a member. You can request membership
by entering the URL in a web browser and clicking the Request Membership
button.

Issues found with the iPad

The following issues exist with the iPad in the V8.8 release.

aspenONE Simulation application
does not pass the correct
credentials or no credentials with
its requests to aspenONE Process
Explorer.

Use the Google Chrome browser

on an iPad.

When this happens, the aspenONE

data source from the registered
plant data URL.

When using Chrome, in the Live

Pant Data Service panel, the Plant
Data source URL cannot be
modified easily.

Delete all values for the Plant

the iPad goes into lock mode (slide

actually unbound when you unlock
