TELE-TV MEDIA SETS CREATIVE PRODUCTION AND

TECHNOLOGICAL INTEGRATION PERSONNEL

Kit Laybourne to Become Senior Vice President, Creative Production;

Marsh Marshall to Vice President, Technology Strategy

and George Escobar to Vice President, Product Technologies

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- TELE-TV Media today announced

the appointments of Kit Laybourne to senior vice president, creative
production; Marsh Marshall to vice president, technology strategy; and
George Escobar to vice president, product technologies.

The three will match TELE-TV Media's creative production and

interactive services strategies with the technological capacity of each
of TELE-TV's means of distribution: digital television, the
Internet and interactive television.

Mr. Laybourne, 53, will report to Japhet Asher, executive vice

president of programming and product development. He will supervise
TELE-TV's Digital Production Studio in Reston, Virginia, as well as
developers based in Los Angeles. He will act as TELE-TV Media's
point person in the assembly, development and supervision of all
internal and external creative production personnel.

"We intend to create a laboratory environment in which to

develop the programming and services of the future, but our work will
always be forged in the fires of the marketplace," Mr. Asher said.

"We will create an inhouse creative, resource and also build

relationships with outside vendors, suppliers and other creators to
deliver product across all platforms. You need a strong mixture of
experience and freshness in assembling a truly vibrant group," he
added.

Formerly president and chief executive officer for New York-based

independent producer Noyes & Laybourne, Mr. Laybourne was executive
producer on MTV's critically-acclaimed "Liquid
Television," as well as Nickelodeon's "Gullah Gullah
Island" and "Eureeka's Castle."

He taught New York University's Tisch School of Arts'

advanced animation seminar, and is the author of leading animation
textbook, "The Animation Book." He produced
Nickelodeon's "Nick at Night" on-air graphics during that
service's launch, and will likewise oversee production of TELE-TV
interstitial, branding elements and shortform programming.

"The initial challenge for me personally is to attract world

class digital artists with whom we might best populate our bi-coastal
teams. We then hope to explore the largely uncharted creative domains
within interactive television," Mr. Laybourne said.

Mr. Escobar will also report to Mr. Asher, while also remaining a
member of the TELE-TV Technology Strategy group. Mr. Marshall, who
heads the Technology Strategy Group, will report to Mindy Herman, Senior
Vice President of Business Operations.

Messrs. Escobar and Marshall will use their combined technological

and production expertise to act as a critical liaison between TELE-TV
creative product and technological systems personnel, as well as third
party creators and technologists developing new TELE-TV content.

"This process tends to be very circular, in that sometimes

technology leads you to create a specific product and other times, the
product leads you to create a new technology," Mr. Escobar said.
"We can speak the languages of both the creative side and the
technical side and act as the interpreter for both."

Mr. Escobar, 36, is responsible for identifying and defining the

technological parameters and creative potential of each of the TELE-TV
distribution platforms, as well as other emerging technologies. He will
integrate creative product strategies with technological service
support, while also developing multimedia authoring tools and user
interface software.

Mr. Marshall, 42, is charged with assessing TELE-TV Media

technological strategies as they relate to creative product development
and the consumer experience. Working with TELE-TV Systems, he will

recommend and implement partnerships and alliances with outside

technology firms as they pertain to TELE-TV Media creative and business
projects including an electronic program guide.

"The consumer promise of digital and interactive television is

only as strong as our ability to harness the latest technologies to
service that need," Mr. Marshall said. "Technological
superiority in the service of creativity will prove an integral
differentiator for that consumer experience."
Mr. Marshall will remain based in Reston, while Mr. Escobar will
relocate from Reston to Los Angeles.

Prior to joining TELE-TV Media last year, Mr. Escobar was a director
at the Digital Production Studio for Bell Atlantic Video Services. He
designed and produced Bell Atlantic's Stargazer video-on-demand
application software, Bell Atlantic's Internet site, and also
worked with major outside clients to integrate CD-ROM and interactive
television capabilities.

He earlier developed wireless interactive television applications for

EON Corp., and worked in several creative and production roles on
network series "The Love Boat," "Dynasty,"
"Square Pegs" and "Hotel." He is a graduate of the
American Film Institute's Center for Advanced Film and Television
Studies.

Mr. Marshall was executive producer of interactive services for Bell

Atlantic Video Services, where he designed and produced the Stargazer
navigator and other interactive television applications. He also
supervised design and production operations for interactive television
and online activity for Bell Atlantic Video Services.

Before that, he was a producer and director for the British

Broadcasting Corp. with creative credits including "The
Moneylenders," "War with America" and "Czech
Mate," nominated by the BBC for a British Academy Award.

As head of production for Viking Films, he managed film co-

productions "Flight of the Navigator" with The Walt Disney
Studios and "Revolution" with Warner Bros. He received a M.A.
in economics from Stanford University and a Ph.D. in economics from
Oxford University.
