To Whom It May Concern,

It is my pleasure to write a letter highlighting the administrative experiences
Seth Rehn has engaged in at Kenwood Leadership Academy over the past 5 months.
While Seths primary role is serving as a PE teacher he fulfills many other duties
around the building.
Ever since the day Seth started at Kenwood he has demonstrated a desire
to learn and collaborate for the wellbeing of our students. Seth brings to us a unique
background as a gym owner and former collegiate athlete. Seth shares this passion
and knowledge while challenging us to reimagine the traditional PE experience.
Seth has built a highly engaging environment focused on individual growth and goal
attainment. Through his work our students are the most engaged they have been
during my 4 years at Kenwood. This has not only been witnessed by me, but also
other teachers and community members.
In addition to redesigning the PE experience for student Seth is always
willing to support the building in any way asked. One example of this support is,
Seth has a daily crossing guard duty at the front of the school. Seth has built a
strong rapport with the parents while helping them safely cross the street, but it
also goes beyond that. Seth takes a genuine interest in each person and you can
frequently see him striking up a conversation with families as well as students while
they are dismissing for the day. In addition to this duty Seth has also taken some of
our students under his wing to help support them behaviorally. Through his
relationship building these students have now been more successful around the
building.
Outside of these formal roles Seth serves in he is also frequently called upon
to support the building with additional duties or helping set up for events. Even
though these duties are outside of Seths job description he has always been very
open to these additional duties and looks at them as opportunities to learning and
grow. In addition to his openness he has also been reliable to fulfill these duties and
makes the most out of the experiences.
The above letter is a glimpse into the duties and ways Seth Rehn has
improved the educational experience of the students and staff at KLA over the past
5 months. I look forward to engaging in more conversations with Seth around school
management and community engagement. If you have any additional questions
about Seths experience or performance at Kenwood Leadership Academy Magnet
School please feel free to contact me at, (319) 558-1524 or dbrandon@cr.k12.ia.us.
Sincerely,

David Brandon
