NOTIFICATION

MAHARASHTRA MUNICIPAL CORPORATION ACT.

No. LBT. 2016/CR -80(1)/2016/UD-32.In exercise of the powers conferred by the section
149A of the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Act (LIX of 1949) and of all other powers enabling
it in that behalf, the Government of Maharashtra hereby specifies the 1st January, 2017 to be
the date for the purposes of levy of surcharge under the said section 149A at the rate of one
per cent., in the case of sale or gift, on the value of the property ; and in the case of an instrument
of usufructuary mortagage on the amount secured by the instrument as set forth in the
instrument, in respect of the property, situated in the Municipal Corporation of the City of
Panvel, to which the provisions of clause (aaa) of sub-section (2) of section 127 are made
applicable vide Government Notification, Urban Development Department No. LBT. 2016/
CR-80/2016/UD-32, dated 29th December 2016 and will continue to remain in force till the
15th September 2017, unless, the inconsistent provisions are amended or repealed earlier.
